BEYOND THE FLAG: THE TIME TO VOTE PEOPLE, NOT PARTIES*

For too long, we have voted banners instead of brains.
We have voted umbrellas, brooms, and logos instead of integrity.
We have voted parties, and in return, politicians voted to serve those parties — not the people who put them there.

That is why a man can betray every promise he made to you, yet sleep soundly.
Because he knows your loyalty was never to him. It was to his party.
And so long as the party flag flies, he believes you have no choice but to follow.

That is how we ended up with a system deliberately designed to keep us poor.
Because poverty is the currency of control.
When the people are hungry, a bag of rice becomes a manifesto.
When the people are broke, ₦2,000 becomes a 4-year contract.
When the people are desperate, a wrapper and a bottle of drink becomes democracy.

They banked on it.
They assumed the uneducated majority would always be bought.
They assumed we would forget 3 years and 11 months of suffering for 3 days of “stomach infrastructure.”
They assumed wrong.

THE AWAKENING

Something shifted.
You could feel it in the air on 15 August, 2026, in Osun.
It wasn’t about the party on the billboard. It wasn’t about the godfather in the mansion. It wasn’t about the cash that changed hands in the dark.

For the first time in a long time, people asked a different question:
_“Who is this person? What has he done? What will he do for me?”_

Not, _“Which party is he?”_

That was not just an election. That was a declaration.
A declaration that Nigerians are tired of being tenants in their own country.
Tired of voting for parties and inheriting poverty.

2027: THE COVENANT

2027 is not another election. It is a referendum on our future.

It is time to break the spell.
It is time to look past the flag and look at the face.
Past the billboard and look at the track record.
Past the cash inducement and look at the character.
Past the godfather and look at the god-fearing.

Vote the teacher who understands your child’s empty stomach.
Vote the doctor who has stayed in our hospitals when he could have japa’d.
Vote the youth who built something from nothing.
Vote the woman who has served in the trenches, not just on TV.
Vote the personality, not the party.

Because a good man in a bad party will still fight for you.
But a bad man in a good party will still sell you.

THE TRUTH THAT WILL SET US FREE

They made us poor on purpose so we would have no choice.
We are making ourselves wise on purpose so we will have every choice.

Your vote is not for sale.
Your future is not for rent.
Your dignity is not for exchange.

The Osun election of August 2026 reminded us: when the people decide, the godfathers fall.

Come 2027, let us finish what we started.
Let us elect men and women, not acronyms.
Let us elect service, not slogans.
Let us elect Nigeria.

_It is not about the flag they fly.
It is about the life you live._

Vote wisely. Nigeria is watching.
