The Old Opposition Is Dying. A New Force Is Being Born.

Let us be honest with ourselves.
For 26 years, Nigerians have watched the same faces, the same parties, the same recycled politicians, playing the same old game under different names.
PDP yesterday, APC today, PDP tomorrow, APC next tomorrow. The same men decamp in the morning and decamp back in the evening. The same men who destroyed Nigeria are now telling us they want to rescue Nigeria.
Nigerians are tired. Nigerians are angry. Nigerians are no longer fooled.
2027 will not be a contest between APC and PDP. 2027 will be a contest between the OLD RECYCLED OPPOSITION and a NEWLY BIRTH FORCE – THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.
*THE FALL OF THE RECYCLED OLD OPPOSITION*
Why is the old opposition falling? Because they have committed the same errors for 26 years and refused to learn.
*1. They Are Divided Beyond Repair:*
PDP has two chairmen. Labour Party has two chairmen. NNPP has two factions. SDP is in crisis. They cannot even govern their own parties, how can they govern Nigeria?
Their division has become a gift to the ruling party. Their candidates are being invalidated in court not because the courts hate them, but because they sent two names for one ticket, conducted two primaries for one seat, and disobeyed the Electoral Act they claim to defend.
A divided house cannot stand. The old opposition is a divided house, and it is falling.
*2. They Are Recycled, Not Renewed:*
Look at their presidential hopefuls for 2027. The same names from 2015, 2019, 2023. Men who have been Governors, Ministers, Senators, Vice Presidents. Men who had the chance to fix Nigeria and failed.
Now they want another chance to fail again?
Nigerians are asking: What did you do when you had power? Where were the roads, the light, the jobs when you were in office? If you could not fix it then, why should we trust you now?
The old opposition is not an alternative. It is the same problem in a different agbada.
*3. They Love Court More Than The People:*
The old opposition does not go to the market. It does not go to the farm. It does not go to the polling unit.
It goes to the Federal High Court. It goes to Arise TV. It goes to Twitter.
They believe elections are won by lawyers, not by voters. They believe you can win in court what you did not win on the field. But the people have seen through that trick.
You cannot win 2027 with press conferences. You win it with presence.
*4. They Have No Ideology, Only Ambition:*
What does the old opposition stand for? Nothing, except “We want power.”
No ideology. No manifesto. No discipline. Only “It is my turn.”
That is why their members decamp every week. That is why their coalition collapses before it starts. Because there is no principle binding them together, only hunger for power.
*THE RISE OF A NEWLY BIRTH FORCE – VOICE OF THE PEOPLE*
But in the midst of this fall, something beautiful is happening in Nigeria.
A new force is rising. Not from Aso Rock. Not from Wadata Plaza. Not from billionaires in Lagos and Abuja.
It is rising from the streets of Abeokuta South. From the markets of Kuto. From the workshops of Sango-Ota. From the classrooms of Ijebu-Ode. From the farms of Yewa.
It is the VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.
This new force is not made of recycled politicians. It is made of:
– Young men and women who have never stolen public money
– Teachers, engineers, traders, artisans, students who are tired of suffering
– Comrades who believe politics is service, not business
– Parties like the BOOT Party that are not owned by godfathers, but owned by the people
This new force does not believe in godfatherism. It believes in competence.
It does not believe in vote-buying. It believes in vote-protection.
It does not believe in court victories. It believes in polling unit victories.
It does not believe in recycled men. It believes in fresh ideas.
*WHY 2027 WILL BE DIFFERENT:*
In 2023, the people tried to speak, but their voice was divided.
In 2027, the people will speak with one voice.
The old opposition will continue to fight themselves in court. They will continue to invalidate their own candidates because of factional primaries, late submission to INEC, and disobedience to the Electoral Act.
While they are in court, the new force will be in the polling units, with agents, with EC8A forms, with legal compliance, with structures in all 176,846 polling units.
While they are sharing money to delegates, the new force will be sharing vision to the masses.
While they are recycling old manifestos, the new force will be writing a new covenant: Light, Jobs, Roads, Hospitals, Schools.
*MY CALL TO NIGERIANS:*
To the youth of Ogun State and Nigeria, I say this:
Do not waste your vote again on recycled failures. Do not follow men who have failed you for 26 years.
The old opposition is falling. Let it fall.
It is time to rise with the new force. It is time to put on the BOOT and march out corruption, darkness, and recycled leadership.
2027 is not APC vs PDP. 2027 is THE PEOPLE vs THE RECYCLED ELITE.
And in that battle, the people will win.
