ABOUT THE BOOK
Feziechukwu sits with a Lagos journalist to give what he believes will be his most controlled performance and discovers that telling the truth is the one act of survival he has been postponing. Nineteen words for survival and one word for living. The twentieth word is Nirvana. He is still moving toward it.
Written with the formal daring of contemporary literary fiction, Nirvana turns its gaze beyond what is and what has been, toward the more difficult and necessary question of what could still be. Through memory, confession, philosophy, recovery, and the fragile architecture of identity, it explores addiction as a search for transcendence aimed at the wrong object, and recovery as an act of authorship: the painstaking construction of a new story, sentence by sentence, from the ruins of the one that almost ended you.
