I AM A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

One must affirm daily that one is light in the darkness.

The entire world is a dream; we dream in darkness. When a person awakens to his true self as a part of the light called God, he now becomes light in the dream, in the darkness, showing people the way to reawaken to the light they are, to live as their true self, part of the light that is called God.
The ego’s separated world is a place of darkness, a place of separation from the light of the unified self-called God. People in the world live in the dark.
The authorities ruling this ego-segregated world want people to live in the dark, to see themselves as separated selves, and are afraid of them living in the light (which they do when they accept that they are unified with all selves and their creator, God). The leaders of the world of darkness encourage religions that enable people to deny their light and live in the dark.

The Christian church, for example, tells people that they are not the sons of God, not the Christ, that only one son of God is the only son of God, is the Christ. They are afraid of what would happen if all the people accepted their true selves as the sons of God, as the Christ, as the light; they would no longer listen to the leaders of darkness, the egos that run the ego world.
We are all light, all sons of God, but we are like the prodigal son who left his father’s house and eventually realized that he could not really leave his father, so he returned to his father, that is, he reawakened to the fact that he is still living in his father’s house and thereafter lived in peace and joy. He returned to the light.
You are currently probably living in the dark, have the belief that you are separated from God and his creation, affirming the nonsense of individualism, not knowing that you are part of the light of God.
The goal is for you to accept that you really did not leave God and always live in God, always live in the light. You do not allow the vicious leaders of this world of darkness to tell you that you are not a part of God, a son of God, the Christ, Buddha, Chi. You simply affirm the truth and say to yourself: I am a part of God, a son of God.
God is light, I am part of the light that is God. You claim your truth and live accordingly, accepting that there are people who are afraid to live their truth of being part of God, part of light.
Indeed, the ego tells people that it is arrogance to claim to be part of God, part of light, that they should humiliate themselves and accept that they are outside God. But that is nonsense, you cannot be outside the whole; the part cannot be outside the whole, so you are always a part of God.

God is love, so you are always part of God’s loving self. You love God, you and all people, bar none. It is the ego that is deluded in believing that it is outside God.
It is dishonesty for a human being to claim to be outside God. God is the whole; you cannot be outside the whole. You are always within the whole as part of it. When you know this reality, you live as part of everything, not better or worse than anyone else, for all of us are part of one shared God, with his one shared mind.
When you claim your truth as part of all, you develop true self-confidence and actually regain spiritual power, not ego-magical power but the power of God, which is power based on love.
In love, that is, in the awareness that you are in union with all selves, you can heal people, even heal their physical illnesses, although that could degenerate to a spectacle of performing magic. The best thing to do is simply to accept that you are a son of God, a part of light, and since God is light, you are a part of light and now live in the light.
To deny God, to see oneself as separated from God, is to live in the dark.

A few years ago, I had a dream. In the dream, a cousin that I had lost touch with, a man who had died years ago, and whom I had not thought about for decades, entered my dream. In the dream, I was in Westwood, Los Angeles, California, and in a tavern. I had lost the direction to where I was going and walked into the tavern to ask for directions. I do not drink alcohol, so what am I doing in a bar?
I went and sat by myself, looking at the bawdy crowd drinking and having fun. My cousin, Cletus, who is known to enjoy alcohol, came to me and said to me, “Why are you shy? Lose that shyness and become part of the crowd, have fun. Life is meant for one to have a good self-concept and mix with the crowd, and not out of shyness, withdraw from the people, and live alone. He ended by saying, “Develop good self-esteem, Tom, and the dream ended, and I woke up.”
What a dream, I thought. What does he mean by saying that I have low self-esteem? I thought about what he said.

He was telling me that all people are the sons of God, even the people in the tavern like himself, that I should love all of them, and in loving all people, I develop true good self-esteem because when you live from love for all people, you are living as a true son of God.
Jesus Christ himself used to go to taverns, for as he said, the healer goes to where the sick are. If alcoholics are sick, then go to them and teach them how to heal their alcoholism. If human beings are sick, you go to them and teach them wholeness. What heals them is returning to love, living loving lives.
Cletus was asking me to love all people, including alcoholics like himself, and in doing so, I reclaimed the light that I am. I live in the light as an awakened son of God, and stop hiding as a high and mighty educated ego.
The ego is in darkness because it lives in the dark by pretending to be separated from other people and from God. One must accept that one lives with all people and God to live in the light.
Cletus was the son of the people’s high priest, who was always a part of our kindred, and came to my dream to ask me to live as the priest we are, the bearers of the touch, bearers of light in the dark, mysterious world we live as separated ego selves. Now I know why Cletus came to my dream.

If you like, it was my mind that produced Cletus in my dream; all people are in my mind, so my mind produced Cletus to tell me what he told me. In truth, my mind told me what it wanted me to know and made it seem that a separate Cletus told it to me. There is only one mind.
We are all parts of one mind. There is only God’s one mind, and we are all in that God’s mind. We think or dream with God’s one mind.
There is only one spirit, the spirit of God; we all share that one God’s spirit, God’s unified self.

One should affirm daily:

God is life.
God is light.
God is love.
God is the whole self and whole mind.
Separation from God is separation from life, light, and love, which is impossible.
I cannot be separate from God; therefore, I always live in God, in life, light, and love. I am a son of God, a part of love, a part of the light that is God. Separation is darkness. I do not live in separation; I do not live in darkness.
I affirm my Sonship, my partness in God, partness in the light, partness in love and light. I am a part of God, which is my true identity.
I am not a separated self, which is darkness; I am a son of God who is a son of light.
I reclaim my identity as a part of light and become a bringer of light to those still living in the darkness of seeing themselves as egos in bodies, as separated from the light that is joined living, part of life, love, and light.
In affirming these truths, I live in peace and joy.
