Just thinking out loud because I woke up today quite upset and sad thinking about Nigeria’s current dilemma. Years, like tens to hundreds of years back. Educationists kept ringing this in our ears– Education is the key.
Lots of parents were encouraged to send their children to school. Some sold wrappers, their only farmland inheritance to ensure that at least one of their many children get quality education.
Today, I’m moved to ask.
Is education in Nigeria really the key to success?
It’s been 2 whole weeks, we have different school and teachers unions in Nigeria. We have the federal, state and local government, yet fragile innocent children as well as teachers have been with the bandits yet nothing! No hope for them!
If these children eventually or hopefully get rescued or rather released because I doubt any body kidnapped have actually been rescued in Nigeria, do you think the agony and anguish their parents are going through psychologically will make them want to send these children back to school?
Unfortunately, there’s no key anywhere that can be found in Nigeria’s educational system as it stands now.
No Freaking Key!
