Conflicting Developmental Trajectories in Governance:
One politician built breweries while the other banned alcohol, yet they aspire to run on a joint ticket. This is a recipe for confusion. It is worrisome to find two individuals at the highest echelon of government, at the level of decision conceptualization and policy-making, pursuing completely divergent developmental trajectories and approaches to national progress.
One is a trader and capitalist, while the other is pro-religious, blending socialism with religious zealotry. One advocates for alcohol production, sales, and consumption as a source of revenue, while the other opposes it entirely. One established a Religious Police Service to enforce morality, while the other, being Catholic, adopts a more liberal attitude toward extreme enforcement of moral values.
These contrasting visions of societal values and development are bound to clash when both are in government. The instability that would result from their disagreements could precipitate a national crisis.
Conclusion: A joint ticket between leaders with such opposing philosophies may appear pragmatic on the surface, but in practice, it risks undermining governance and destabilizing the nation
