The Ogun State Security Network Agency (Amotekun), Ewekoro Command, today paid a courtesy visit to the palace of HRM Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo, the Olu of Itori, Egbaland, as part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the security agency and traditional institutions within the Ewekoro Local Government Area.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Command to formally introduce its new Coordinator, SC Akinsola Susan, to His Royal Majesty and to seek the Royal Father’s continued support, guidance, and partnership in advancing security operations across the command.
During the engagement, the team highlighted the need for a befitting Amotekun Command Office and Operational Base in Ewekoro, which would provide a more conducive environment for effective coordination, administration, intelligence gathering, and operational activities of the Corps.
The Command emphasized the importance of having a functional and well-equipped operational base that would further enhance the capacity of Amotekun to respond promptly to security challenges and contribute meaningfully to the protection of lives and property across communities in Ewekoro.
In his response, Kabiyesi appreciated the Amotekun Corps for its continued security support, dedication, and commitment to safeguarding lives and property within the community. He commended the Command for its efforts and encouraged the officers to remain vigilant, disciplined, dedicated, and proactive in the discharge of their responsibilities.
In a significant demonstration of his commitment to supporting the Corps, Kabiyesi personally placed a telephone call to the Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, urging him to give the Amotekun Command maximum support and necessary assistance in the interest of peace, security, and development of the local government.
The Royal Father further assured the team of his willingness to support initiatives that would strengthen the operational effectiveness of Amotekun in Ewekoro and improve security across the various communities under the Command.
The Command expressed profound appreciation to Kabiyesi, HRM Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo, for his warm reception, fatherly counsel, and demonstrated commitment to security development.
The visit reaffirmed the importance of strong collaboration among traditional institutions, government, security agencies, and the local community in building a safer and more peaceful Ewekoro.
