I shall start this short piece by stating once again that I am not an ardent fan of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
If anyone else who I believe is better than Tinubu signifies his interest in contesting for the Presidency of Nigeria, I will be too willing and ready to vote for that person.
But I am yet to see such a person.
Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are certainly not better than Tinubu as far as I am concerned.
So, in the absence of a better aspirant, I shall continue to stick with Tinubu, the “devil” I know, rather than embrace an “angel” I don’t know.
As for those who are saying that Tinubu is a fraud and a scammer who is not qualified to be the President of Nigeria because little or nothing is known about his background, especially his elementary and higher education, I have the following to say to them:
1. If Tinubu scammed his way from being a faceless and unknown “Amoda” from Iragbiji to become a Lagosian and adopted son of the famous Iyaloja of Lagos, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
2. If Tinubu scammed his way to Chicago State University to study Accounting without ever attending primary and secondary schools, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
3. If Tinubu scammed his way to graduating summa cum laude (with distinction) in Accounting at the Chicago State University, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
4. If Tinubu scammed his way to work as an “unqualified” Accountant and Auditor in internationally renowned firms like Arthur Andersen, Deloitte and GTE Services Corporation, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
5. If Tinubu scammed his way to become a top executive Auditor in Mobil Oil UK and Mobil Oil Nigeria, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
6. If Tinubu scammed his way to become the Governor of Lagos State for eight years and significantly transformed Lagos into an enviable State, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
7. If Tinubu scammed his way to running the affairs of Lagos State for many years without receiving any monthly allocation from the Federation Accounts when President Olusegun Obasanjo decided to starve Lagos State of funds, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
8. If Tinubu scammed his way to become a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
9. If Tinubu scammed his way to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria without the support of the then incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabal, especially the Central Bank Governor Emefiele who formulated a policy that was aimed at limiting Tinubu’s access to funds for the actualisation of his presidential ambition, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
10. And, lastly, if Tinubu scammed his way to become an outstanding reformer and a wonderful administrator who has turned Nigeria back from the brink of economic collapse in just three years in the saddle, he must be a d.amn good scammer.
So, when you consider the fact that a fraud and scammer achieved all the feats I listed above, then he deserves to be given the award for being the greatest “scammer” in the world!
What I am simply telling the Tinubu haters out there is that Tinubu deserves to be hailed and commended because he has been able to achieve things that the “saints” who are not “scammers” will never dream of achieving in their lives!
If they disagree with me, they should list three remarkable achievements of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in public office.
