Professor Anthony Ejiofor, Ph.D., is an accomplished executive leader, global strategist, academic scholar, and biotechnology researcher with more than three decades of distinguished experience spanning higher education, scientific innovation, institutional leadership, nonprofit management, and global diaspora engagement.

Widely respected for his visionary leadership and strategic influence, Professor Ejiofor has successfully led transformational initiatives across academia, international organizations, and community institutions throughout the United States, Africa, Europe, Canada, and the Middle East. His expertise encompasses organizational transformation, strategic planning, governance advocacy, international partnership development, and cross-cultural leadership.

Professor Ejiofor previously served as Executive Board Chairman of the World Igbo Congress (WIC) from 2017 to 2023 and earlier as Executive Director from 2006 to 2013. During his tenure, he provided strategic oversight for one of the largest global Igbo diaspora organizations, strengthening institutional cohesion, expanding international engagement, and advancing initiatives focused on the welfare, unity, and global interests of the Igbo people.

Among his landmark accomplishments was leading efforts that secured Special Consultative Status for the World Igbo Congress with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). He also played pivotal roles in developing strategic diaspora initiatives, international medical development projects, governance advocacy frameworks, and programs aimed at cultural renewal and socioeconomic advancement.

In academia, Professor Ejiofor served as Professor of Microbiology at Tennessee State University, where he combined excellence in teaching, research, mentorship, and institutional planning. He supervised more than 50 Master’s theses and over 20 doctoral dissertations while mentoring generations of scientists and researchers in microbiology, biotechnology, genetic engineering, immunology, and fermentation technology.

His scientific research contributions span industrial microbiology, biotechnology innovation, microbial physiology, and process control systems, leading to significant advancements in high-density fermentation operations and biotechnology applications. He has published extensively in respected scientific journals and contributed scholarly chapters in industrial microbiology and biotechnology.

Professor Ejiofor has also held prestigious international fellowships, visiting professorships, and research appointments at globally recognized institutions including the University of California, Riverside; University of Cambridge; Ben Gurion University of the Negev; the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Trieste, Italy; University of Waterloo; and several leading African universities.

Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Igbo Values Reorientation Committee (JB-IVRC), Diaspora President of Anya Ndi Igbo, President of Bastion Foundation, Inc., and Founder of Stance Global, Inc., where he continues to champion humanitarian service, leadership development, economic empowerment, and community advancement initiatives.

A respected public affairs analyst and governance advocate, Professor Ejiofor is also known for his insightful commentary on sociopolitical developments, leadership, biotechnology policy, and African affairs.
