🕊️ Loving Memory: In Remembrance
MATTO Network Groups pauses to honor and remember some of the remarkable men and women who helped shape our journey over the past 25 years.
They were more than contributors—they were passionate debaters, gifted writers, dedicated moderators, loyal supporters, and fearless defenders of ideas. Their voices echoed across our affiliated forums and on Chatafrik.com, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire us.
Though many have departed this world, their words, wisdom, and contributions remain part of the foundation upon which MATTO Network continues to grow.
We lovingly remember:
* Dr. Valentine Ojo – Proud and fearless son of Ondo. His unforgettable words still ring in our ears: “Matto, this is your Egbon. Warn your Moderators not to mess with my post.”
* Dr. George Ayittey – Distinguished Ghanaian economist and fearless advocate for African freedom, renowned for his “Cutlass” philosophy.
* Fubara David West – Dedicated Moderator and MATTO Network Most Valuable Member (MVM) of the Year.
* Chief Benjamin Aduba – Brilliant writer whose thoughtful articles enriched Chatafrik.
* Ibukun (IBK) Babajide – An exceptional and powerful debater whose passion elevated every discussion.
* Chief (Dr.) Chika Onyeani – Distinguished newspaper publisher, mentor, elder brother, and trusted adviser to Moderator Matto.
* Nowa Omoigui – Outstanding writer and respected intellectual voice.
* Franklin Akinkoye – A proud hometown brother to Moderator Matto and loyal supporter of Chatafrik initiatives.
* Prince Henry Ajibade Gbadegesin – Former President of Yoruba Alliance and steadfast supporter of Chatafrik and MATTO Network projects.
On this historic occasion of America’s 250th Independence Anniversary, MATTO Network Groups extends a heartfelt salute to all our departed contributors and supporters.
We remain deeply grateful for every sacrifice, every article, every debate, every encouragement, and every moment they invested in building this community.
Their memories live on.
May their gentle souls continue to rest in perfect peace.
With profound gratitude,
Moderator Matto
