The first African country to obtain its independence from European colonial rule was Ghana in 1957. Nigeria and a spate of others obtained theirs beginning in 1960. That is to say that most African countries have been ruling themselves for about seventy years now.
What have they done with their self-rule? They transformed Africa into a thieving land, a corruption haven, where nothing gets done without bribing someone; even the ragtag policemen are on the streets collecting money from motorists.
There is not one African country that can be considered a well-ruled country (Rwanda comes close to being well-ruled). All African countries are ruled by non-human beings. I deliberately say non-human beings because to call their rulers human beings is to insult the term human beings. Would you call the rulers of Nigeria human beings? I would not call them animals; it would be an insult to animals to call Nigerian rulers animals; they are simply thieves in government.
In Africa, we have a bunch of semi-intelligent African scholars amusing us ad nauseam about how Europe underdeveloped Africa. They write about colonialism (that lasted less than one hundred years in most African countries) and neo-colonialism (which has lasted less than one hundred years in Africa).
History shows that most current independent countries had a past where other people ruled them for hundreds of years. The Romans ruled England from 53 to 475 AD. Thereafter, the Germans took England and ruled for five hundred years. The Scandinavians came and looted the emergent towns; in 1066, the Norman French occupied England, and their descendants are still ruling Avalon, the Emerald Island, one thousand years later.
Poorly educated Nigerian scholars regale us with their semi-literate writing on how Europe carts off Africa’s mineral resources to Europe, and takes them to develop Europe, transform them into manufactured goods, and sells them at exorbitant prices to Africans, and that way Africans who produce cocoa cannot even buy cocoa products like chocolates, and Africans who produce kola nuts cannot even buy cola drinks like Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola.
In their minds, these people apparently believe that they are making good points. And their mentally challenged compatriots consume that rubbish, and wherever you turn, you hear them tell you that Europe is stealing their raw materials and thus making them poor.
Clearly, Europe would rather have all Africans remain illiterate subsistence farmers and produce whatever crops Europe needs. Europe would like Africans to be unable to govern themselves well so that European businesses come to Africa and mine for whatever minerals they need for their industries. As we talk, the so-called Congo Democratic Republic has a concentration of the rare earth minerals that industries in the USA and Europe need for their products, such as televisions, smartphones, electric cars, and so on. In the world of business, businesses always like to buy cheap and sell their finished products at exorbitant prices, make profits, and become rich. This is economics 101, which every high school kid takes. There is nothing new here; Adam Smith (1776) said it all in his seminal book, The Wealth of Nations.
In international politics, you are taught that whereas the Western nation state, since the 1648 Treaty of Westphalia, has managed to reach a status where there is the rule of law, in Western countries, anyway. But in the international arena, there are no laws. There may be bilateral and multilateral agreements between nation-states, and even rules made by such so-called Western-formed international organizations, such as the United Nations Organization, International Monetary Fund, The World Bank, International Labor Organization, World Health Organization, etc., are not laws. These rules do not have the force of law because they are not made by nation-states with the military power to enforce them.
In so-called international law, nations have the option to obey it or not, and there is nothing that you can do to them. The International arena is a jungle where power rules; hence, nation-states strive for a balance of power between them because they realize that if they are weak, more powerful ones will attack and take them over.
If you take folks to the International Court of Justice, ICJ, or the International Criminal Court, ICC, the rulings of those judicial agencies are enforced by nations that choose to do so; others do not, and there is nothing that you can do about it.
Both Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu are wanted by the ICC, and arrest warrants have been issued for them. Now, go arrest them. Do so and find out the nature of real politics, not sentimental politics. Do so, and Russia crushes you; do so, and Israel destabilizes your country.
The point is that the international arena is a jungle where power rules. The strong take what they desire from the weak, and that is just the way it is. You may talk about its unfairness, but what are you going to do about it?
Until all the countries of the world are ruled as one and they have a central government that has the power of coercion, has an Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, and Secret Services to monitor people and catch lawbreakers, there is no such thing as real international law. It may seem to exist on paper for weak Countries.
The ICC may ask for the thief ruling Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to be arrested for the killing of Christians in the Middle Belt part of Nigeria, and he will be arrested. They may arrange with the Israeli army and they literally fly into Abuja and kidnap the drug seller turned Nigerian head of state and do so easily because what is called the Nigerian military is a thieving organization that steals most of the money given to it to buy weapons and cannot defeat the insurgents trying to impose Islam on Nigeria or the bandits that have literally taken control of most of Northern Nigeria and kill people at will. There are no political leaders in Nigeria.
The question is this: how come, after seventy years of self-rule, Africa has not produced political leaders that the rest of the world pays attention to?
A political leader has a goal that he lives for, fights or dies for; he wants something for his people and mobilizes the people and resources, and devotes his life to realizing what he stands for.
Lee Kwan Yi of Singapore wanted to modernize his country within twenty years and did it. Korea, North and South, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, China, and even the overpopulated India are modernizing their countries because actual political leaders are ruling them, not the thieves in government all over Africa.
Give a well-governed country in the world to a Nigerian to rule, and he and his cohorts will form a thieving cabal and rob the country to the ground in a few years. And while doing so, they blame those who offered them the opportunity to govern.
At the end of the Second World War in 1945, all of Western Europe lay prostrate on its bellies, with no money to run a military or repair the infrastructure damaged by the war. America came in with the Marshall Plan and spent billions to resuscitate the European economy and established military bases in most Western European countries to help keep peace in them.
America did not want to help Europeans recolonize their African and Asian countries. President Harry Truman simply told Europe to give independence to African and Asian countries. Thus, beginning in 1947, when Britain freed India, African countries were given Independence without fighting for it.
Britain and France, acting in concert with Israel, tested America’s resolve in 1956 by militarily seizing the Suez Canal in Egypt. President Dwight Eisenhower of the USA ordered them to withdraw their troops from the Canal Zone or face the consequences. They swallowed their pride and left. Pride has effect only when backed by military power; without power, one must yield. In this world, power—not wishes or sentiment—rules.
Because they did not fight for their independence (Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, and South Africa fought for their independence), African leaders think that governing is easy, draining their countries’ resources dry, and running them down. Europe gives them loans, and they squander them, and after they have accumulated enough debt, they go beg Europe to forgive those loans, as Ngozi Iweala Okonjo did, and Nigeria’s debt was mostly forgiven.
The chief thief, Tinubu, like a drunk, is mostly borrowing money from foreigners to pay his fellow thieves in government and probably hopes that in the future another savvy world technocrat like Ngozi will go beg the foreign lenders to forgive him. He is badly informed.
The next time around, the white colonials will return to rule Nigeria. Many Western intellectuals have concluded that Africans seem born unable to rule themselves and that they ought to return and recolonize Africa forever, maybe kill them off, and keep some of them alive to work for them on their farms, as Adolf Hitler wanted to do with Slavic Europeans, kill the Slavs off, keep a few illiterate and have them take orders from Germans to serve them (see Hitler’s books, Mein Kampf and Table Talks).
Because of the bad governance in Africa, compounded by a lack of population control (no couple should have more than two children), Africans are unable to obtain jobs in their countries. The unemployment rate is over 60% in Nigeria. They try to swim into Europe to do menial jobs there. They go to the USA and other parts of North America to do jobs that white folks are unwilling to do.
South Africa was a European outpost in Africa, so it had modern infrastructure. When it obtained its independence in 1991, Africans who wanted to leave Africa and could not go to Europe or the Americas swarmed into South Africa. For a while, they could make a living there. The indigenes of South Africa, like other Africans, are not yet part of the world economy and do not create jobs; they resent that other Africans came to their world and take the few jobs that white folks create in South Africa. They therefore asked other Africans to leave, and those Africans are now complaining. The political fact is that they must leave!
Once a country asks you to leave, you had better leave because you do not have the military to fight them.
Ghana once asked Nigerians to leave, and they left; in turn, Nigeria asked Ghanaians to leave, and they left. The South African door is now closed for Africans.
Yapping about how all of black Africa financially helped South Africa to get rid of apartheid is irrelevant. Africans were all humiliated by white rule in South Africa, so all of them benefited when apartheid ended in South Africa; they had already gotten their reward, albeit a psychological reward.
European and American doors are closing for Africans. In a decade, Nationalistic Europeans will get rid of all foreigners; North America is already doing so. Even those Africans who have Green cards or are naturalized Americans, Donald Trump and his Republicans want to send back to Africa.
Indians came to the USA and cornered technological jobs. Now, Americans are asking them to go home. A few weeks ago, the Indian head of Microsoft went to give a commencement speech at Stanford University, in Northern California, and the mostly white students asked him to go back to India; if Indians are so good at Hi-Tech, why doesn’t he return to India and establish a Microsoft, Apple, Google, Nvidia, Yahoo, IBM, and other hi-tech businesses in India?
Trump is rounding up Indians and returning them to India. Go home and improve your country. Don’t come to the USA and take over jobs that belong to white Americans; that is the idea.
White Americans stole the land from Native Indians and fought to maintain their loot. You are a free loader coming to enjoy what they fought to obtain. Go back to your poorly managed shithole of a country and develop it. America does not want you in America; America is for white Western Europeans and their Africans slaves; get that hard fact into your thick skull.
DISCUSSION
The immigration doors are closing for Africans. This seems bad and racist. Actually, it is a godsend.
Africans refused to learn leadership and management skills (a field I have written tons of books and articles on) and are at present unable to rule themselves well. All of Africa is a slum, a ghetto, an eyesore of unhygienic towns where germs eat people up, and the life span is less than sixty years. To obtain jobs, Africans run to the West.
The doors are closing for Africans, and they will have no choice but to finally learn leadership and management arts, and like men roll up their sleeves, set goals and objectives, and dedicate their lives to accomplishing them or dying.
Life is best lived if you are pursuing a goal that serves the people’s interests; if not, you are merely existing like an animal. Working only for your good, as, say, Igbos do, makes these people mere animals, not real human beings that the rest of the world considers leaders or human beings for that matter.
Is there any African leader that can be ranked in the pantheon of world leaders, such as Mao Zedong, Lee Kwan Yi, V.I Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Winston Churchill, Napoleon Bonapath, Fidel Castro? None.
The rulers of Africa are all thieves; they make folks like me vomit. That is correct, in their presence, I literally throw up because they are sick men and women who ought not to be in leadership positions; in fact, they ought not even exist. They waste resources, take them to the garbage dump where they belong.
By the mid-2030s, Europe would have gotten rid of nonwhite and non-Christians from Europe. They want Africans and Muslims out of Europe, and if those don’t leave, they will kill them, as Adolf Hitler killed them in the 1930s.
If Africans don’t leave America, they will kill many of them; of course, there will always be black folks in the Americas because they and white folks built the continent. But immigrant Africans will be kept out.
People are not liberal progressive; they indulge in political correctness when there is plenty for all to eat. If people are unemployed and suffering, they become worse than predatory animals and are solely preoccupied with personal and group survival, and if you do not belong to their group, they will make you leave. This is human nature, not the sentimental rubbish they teach Africans in their so-called universities.
Europe and America owe Africans nothing. We live in a competitive world; the strongest and fittest survive, the weakest die off, and what is left of the weak are kept as wage slaves to work for the strong.
It is a dog-eat-dog world. Get this fact into your head and stop pretending as if non-Africans owe you a thing. They do not owe you a damn thing. They have already given you a lot; they taught Africans to read and write and thus dragged their primitive behinds into the modern world so that they can now participate in it.
In Brazil, the Portuguese deliberately left the native Indians living in the Amazon jungle to remain in their world. Today, they are still roaming around naked, eaten alive by assorted germs. If Europeans had not built schools and educated Africans, they would be like the primitives running around in the Amazon forest. Africans ought to be a bit grateful for some of the good Europeans did for them. Please don’t talk to me about colonialism and racism. I know about those, but on balance, Europeans have done some good for Africans.
Now, Africans should improve Africa; non-Africans do not owe them anything. The gods have decided to close the doors to African immigrants, and so it must be. I rejoice in this new reality!
The positive goal is to get Africans to stay in Africa and fight for their good governance. Africans can no longer live as cowards who allow criminals and their goon squads, called their militaries, to intimidate them into servile positions. They must fight for good governance in Africa or die fighting for it.
They must stop running to where others fought and improved, to enjoy the high standard of living there.
Africans must fight tooth and nail to modernize Africa in twenty years. They must begin with massive industrialization, now, not tomorrow; build infrastructures: roads, railways, seaports, airports, universities of science and technology, one in every million population, secondary schools, elementary schools, all paid for by the public; hospitals and health care for all Africans paid by the state, etc.
Africans must begin doing these things and stop living like criminals, thus giving the world the impression that all Africans are born unintelligent and are only good for slave labor.
CONCLUSION
I deliberately employed the term God, when I said that the gods are closing immigration doors to Africans. Let me clarify what I mean by God.
I do not believe in a God that is outside people. I know that there is a God. That God is one but has infinite parts, all the parts and God are one and have one mind. That God is in each of us; we are the parts of God; in anthropomorphic terms, we are the sons of God. God and his sons are eternal, permanent, and changeless.
The sons of God, like the prodigal son, apparently bored by the infinite abundance of peace and joy in their heavenly home, feel a bit bored and create universes and explore them; to make the exploration interesting they must forget that they are the parts of God, and begin by constructing separated self-concepts and later learn that they are the unified sons of God and thereafter return home to their father.
We, in this universe of space, time, and matter, left God, invented our extant physical universe, and are exploring it. Over time, through science, we will explain it and develop technology that will enable us to adapt to it as effectively as possible.
After that the universe decays back to the nothingness from which we, the sons of God, conjured it out; first we conjured out energy, light, heat, motion, electricity, sound, chemicals, and transformed them to electrons, quarks, and combined quarks to protons and neutrons, combined protons and neutrons to nucleus and eventually combined nuclei and electrons to form the atom, beginning with the simplest atom, hydrogen, and differentiated the atom to the 120 or so chemical elements in the universe and used the elements to form our bodies, animals, plants, planets, stars and everything.
We made this universe to play with, and when we have understood it, we make it go away, and what remains is us, the sons of God, and we make other universes to play with; forget our true selves as the eternal sons of God, seem like mere animals, then gradually realize that we are the Gods we think are outside us.
Africans, like all human beings, are the sons of God; we are the makers of our universe; we made it to play with.
Let Africans have a good play by governing their world correctly instead of always making a royal mess of their governance and blaming other people for it.
I wrote this six-page essay in one hour flat. You should read it in less than twenty minutes and think about it.
I wrote the essay when, as often happens to me, I began thinking about leadership and realized that Nnamdi Kanu was a leader. He is a leader because he has a goal: to give his Igbo people a nation-state; that goal consumed his life. Like it or not, he is a leader. If Africa can produce him, it certainly can produce other leaders like him.
I should add that this afternoon, I had a telephonic conversation with my friend, Eze Paschal, who lives in Europe, and he talked about how we, the sons of God, probably get bored living in the abundance of heaven and invent scarcity-based universes to suffer their deprivation and from there find our way back to God’s spiritual abundance. Brother Eze is a unique African; he is a philosopher, he speaks many languages including his native Igbo, English, French, Spanish and others; he is a musician and sings for his Church; like me, he enjoys classical music, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, Handel, Hyden etc.; he indulges me by talking about the various European philosophers, such as Plato, Aristotle, Michiavelli, Dsecartre, Diderot, Voltaire, Rousseau, Saint Simon, Henri Bergson, Leibnitz, Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer, Feuerbach, Nietzsche, William James, David Hume, George Berkeley, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jeremy Bentham, John Mill, John Stuart Mill, William James and even Asian philosophers such as Gautama Buddha, Lao Tsu, Confucious, Shankara and so on. His specialty is the philosophy of science; he educates me on Francis Bacon, Karl Popper, Thomas Kuhn, Wittgenstein, and other thinkers on epistemology. It is nice to have a friend who is truly educated; talking to Eze enriches my mind; thank you, brother Eze. Oh, I did look up the Ghanaian philosopher who you said wrote during the 1700 hundreds, Anton Wilheim Amo; I will read some of his works and get back to you on his writing.
