Celebrating Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi):
Congratulations to Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) on his emergence as the APC Governorship Consensus Candidate for Ogun State of Nigeria in the February 6th, 2027 governorship elections.
Senator Adeola is a renowned chartered accountant before venturing into the complex terrain of Nigerian politics. He currently serves as Chairman of the influential Senate Committee on Appropriation.
Although I have never met Senator Adeola one-on-one, sometime in 2022 he called me and humbly introduced himself. When I realized he was a Senator, I was struck by his humility and humane manner. He requested that I use my contacts to secure employment opportunities for people from his constituency in one of the federal government tertiary institutions in Cross River State. He spoke respectfully, without the arrogance often associated with people of his distinction. When I asked how he came to know me, he simply said, “Your name rings a bell.”
Since then, I have followed his political trajectory and witnessed his impactful leadership. Something told me he would one day become Governor. Today, that conviction has come to pass. From his impeccable performance in the Senate and the leadership qualities he has consistently demonstrated, I have no doubt he will make a remarkable impact as Governor of Ogun State.
In conclusion, Senator Adeola’s humility, dedication, and proven leadership stand as strong pillars for his future role, and his candidacy is a testament to the values of service and responsibility in public life.
