In the 1960s, social and political forces led to the USA making some changes in its body politic. The Civil Rights and Fair Housing Congressional Acts, for the first time in the country’s history, essentially allowed black Americans’ participation in the country’s politics.
These liberal changes did not sit well with the Republican Party (Conservatives). Instead of trying to make things work well, they doubled down, seeking ways to reverse the changes; they undertook studies on how to use all sorts of mechanisms to reverse the allowance of black folks to be part of America. They really believed that they could relegate black folks back to the back of seats in the buses, have them work only as maids in white folks’ houses, or as janitors and porters in trains, but not work in reasonable jobs. They honestly believed that it was possible to roll the clock back and make America racist again.
Apparently, they like racism and wanted to roll their country back to being racist. Political idealists would consider what they were doing evil, but they did not consider what they were doing evil; instead, they saw themselves as behaving naturally and realistically, just as they had seen themselves while enslaving Africans!
In 2009, a black man, Barack Hussein Obama, was, by fluke, elected the president of the country. Conservative whites literally lost their minds and went berserk. They formed what they called the Tea Party and the Birther Movement that denied that Obama was born in the USA; they demonstrated, up and down the country, to take their country back from Barack Hussein Obama and his African witch doctors’ cabal.
They worked tirelessly and in 2016 elected Donald John Trump, a man who does not hide his racism (he did not rent out his family’s properties to black folks). Apparently, he does not even want to see black faces in the same room he is in.
The man quickly eliminated black folks in senior positions in the US military and other parts of the government.
Trump was defeated during the 2020 presidential election; he and his supporters tried to overthrow the new government led by “Sleepy” Joe Biden on January 6, 2021.
He was reelected in 2024. He returned with vengeance and used executive orders to reshape the country and make it unashamedly racist. The man even expected black folks to accept what he is doing to them because he saw himself as God and knew that it was good for them to be second-class citizens in the country.
Racist Americans are now in a racist haven. Things are now to their liking. Liberal policies have been rolled back, and they are again on top of their conception of a just world.
Trump apparently saw himself as an authoritarian king. He made decisions on a whim, as it suited him, and expected every person to obey him. A Republican controlled Supreme Court ruled that nothing he did while in office is ever a condition to condemn him.
The Republican Party quickly fell in line with whatever the new American dictator did and obeyed him (if they did not, he primaried them with a Trump loyalist who ran against them and got to become their party’s candidate in the November general elections).
The Members of the Democratic Party had long ago checked out of American political reality. They had focused on controversial issues, such as forcing the country to not only accept homosexual lifestyles but also to punish those who dared to consider it deviant.
The Democratic Party had become the homosexual people’s party; sexually normal persons had to find some sort of accommodation within the Republican Party.
When Trump returned to power, the Democratic Party actually had no alternative set of policies to oppose him with other than to make noises on same sex equality; they manipulate language and call nauseating sexual behaviors glorified names; to them, everything is now real if you choose your language carefully.
Every behavior, as they see it, is a social construct; therefore, deconstruct behaviors and reconstruct them as normal behaviors, and that makes madness normal. The Democratic Party entered the Orwellian world, where upside-down behaviors are called proper behaviors.
At elementary schools, these people had public school teachers teaching six-year-old kids that homosexuality is a natural behavior, even though it is not. Christian parents took their children out of public schools and sent them to private or charter schools to prevent the mass indoctrination into madness that the school system had become.
Democrats had forgotten to fight for all Americans to have publicly paid health care, have education paid by the public through universities and vocational schools, and provide some low-income housing for the poor, subsidize public transportation, and help poor women pay for their children’s day care centers (the Republicans encourage women to have children and could care less how those children are financially and medically taken care of).
The Democratic Party was literally useless to normal America, whereas the Republican Party went insane, operating not according to the laws of adult politics; they abdicated their function and allowed Donald Trump to believe that he is God Almighty himself and can do as he likes.
The man literally went and kidnapped Nicolas Maduro, the president of Venezuela, and brought him to New York and imprisoned him. That madman’s foreign policy emboldened him to go, in cahoots with Israel, to do regime change in Iran.
Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu launched a vicious air campaign against Iran, killing the Islamic Mullahs who had captured that country and ruled it since 1979.
Trump apparently believed that killing the dreaded Mullahs and killing numerous schoolgirls at their school would make Iranians go to the streets and ask him to come and become their new King Cyrus.
Apparently, no one told him that if you killed a people’s women and girls, you embitter them and they would fight you to the last man. Iranians are now fighting Americans and will keep doing so until the USA withdraws from the Middle East and pays them reparations for the damages done to them.
In the meantime, Trump boasts that he is bombing Iran back to the Stone Age, destroying Iranian cities, and razing them to the ground as his mad political partner, Netanyahu, did to Gaza.
Both mad men actually believed that the entire world would be cheering them as they killed innocent Arabs, and when one Jew is killed, Israel shouts from the rooftop, asking the world to punish the killer. Apparently, Jews have a deluded belief that their lives are special, that they are God’s chosen children and have a right to kill whomever they like, and we all should approve of their murders.
Before I proceed, let me make my biases crystal clear. I support the existence of a Jewish state. Given their 2000 years of persecution in Europe, they deserve a piece of land that they can call their own. Historical Israel ought to be given to them. That land is small enough, it is not more than Metropolitan Los Angeles, California.
Palestinians ought to return to where they came from, Arabia. Arabia has enough land and oil money to absorb them. Israel ought to survive, not because of the nonsense of being a special people, but because they deserve to live.
I have read the Quran, Hadith, and Sharia and believe that Islam is not a true religion; it is a madman’s screed, a means for Arabs to kill whomever they want to kill and dominate the world. Their goal is an Islamic Caliphate headquartered at Mecca, Arabia.
I do not like the Islamic-ruled Iran. I wish that Iran were ruled democratically and secularly, with religion a private affair. I am not a friend of the Mullahs; I do not want them to acquire nuclear weapons because if they do, they would use them to intimidate the Christian world to kowtow to Islam, or else they would kill them; they would return the world to seventh-century superstitions, and take us away from science and technology.
I want changes in Iran, but that does not mean that I want the USA to dominate Iran for the sole purpose of stealing its enormous oil resources, not for poor Americans, but for the billionaire Oligarchs that rule America.
America’s goals in Iran are selfish, and as it is finding out, it has alienated the people of Iran; Iran has mobilized its people, and we now have a real war on our hands.
Israel and the USA apparently had thought that defeating Iran was going to be a stroll in the park on a Sunday afternoon but are finding out that it is not going to be easy.
Trump may invade Iran, have American boots on the ground, and try to defeat Iran militarily. That may take ten years to accomplish, and during which time the USA would be financially bankrupt, and like happened to the USSR during its junket to Afghanistan, the people will finally grow some strong spine and rise against the capitalist parasites appropriating their wealth and doing nothing for them.
In effect, the Iranian war may finally stimulate the revolution that the USA ought to have had and make adjustments to its oppressive capitalist system.
It seems that this war is scheduled by history to bring America down and hence force it to make the necessary social changes the country must make if it is to go forward.
It seems that history has a mind of its own and forces all of us at the individual and national level to do what we must do to bring about necessary changes in our lives.
White America has been behaving like drunken sailors, fancying themselves supermen and doing whatever they want to do to black folks and to poor white folks. History made them elect the most mentally challenged president in their history, just because he is racist and, through him, bring about the collapse of the USA, and thereafter force the people to make the necessary social and economic changes they must make before they go forward.
Great empires that refuse to change and improve the lives of their people are always brought to their knees, and new and better countries emerge from their ashes.
Europe had to be in ruins in 1945 for the governments to make the necessary changes that helped their masses. The prewar great powers of Europe, Britain, France, and Germany, destroyed themselves in their six-year Second World War with each other. At the end of that war, none of them had the financial and military ability to control their colonial territories, and the emergent new superpowers, the USA and USSR, were not particularly interested in funding their return to ruling their colonies. Thus, they were forced, willy-nilly, to offload those colonies beginning in 1947 when Britain gave independence to India.
America’s defeat in Iran will force it, that is, historical forces beyond its control, to its knees so that it deals with the race issue and helps its poor white folks.
We ordinary people sitting on the sidelines ask how America could elect a buffoon as its president, why elect a con artist, a narcissistic sociopath motivated primarily by money, as if money is all there is to life. We shake our heads in despair and try to force ourselves to move on.
DISCUSSION
I told myself that America does not ask my opinion before it does anything; my opinion does not matter, so move on and let her do what she has always done: stick it to black Americans. It does not need my blessing to do its thing. As far as it is concerned, I do not even exist. Thus, I had expected to wait out the Trump racist interregnum.
Lo and behold, the Orange man got it into his head that he is now the sociopathic king of the world and could do whatever he wants to do, and went kidnapping other heads of states (as if the Japanese Ninjas could not kidnap him from the White House), and bomb a country to the stone age just to steal its oil.
Then things did not turn out as the simpleton planned, and now, we have a real war in our hands.
Russia is fully aware that the USA funded its collapse and is probably helping Iran to bleed the USA and bring about its economic collapse (a country owing nearly forty trillion dollars and paying over a trillion dollars in annual interest on that debt cannot maintain that situation forever and ever).
My decision that talking about American politics is me making useless noise and for me to shut up, sit back, and allow the lunatics in Washington DC to do their thing has yielded interesting entertainment. I enjoy watching the sole hegemon destroy itself and from its ashes new great powers, say China, India, and Brazil, emerge.
Apparently, history occasionally reshuffles the deck of world powers. So, I sit back and watch momentous changes taking place in our world. Who would have thought that the USA would self-destruct? Apparently, history led America to elect a buffoon and, through his reckless ways, bankrupt the country, have it engage in a senseless war that would bleed it to death.
CONCLUSION
The individual’s political idealism, his wishes for a better world, his wishes for Americans, Iranians, and Israelis not to kill each other, will not prevent those countries from doing what they have to do because history seems to have destined them to destroy themselves so that others may rise.
You can wish all you want, the criminals governing Nigeria will be there, doing nothing as Fulanis massacre Christian Middle Belt people, chase them out, and take their lands.
Your idealism does not change historical realities whose time has come. Of course, you can mobilize a military and match power with power, and the better military wins, but mere wishes do not change anything in the life of nations.
As Buddhism says, most of an individual’s mental suffering is due to his wishes, his emotional desires for things not to be in a certain way.
The idealist wishes for people not to suffer, for there to be no wars where folks are killed and children traumatized. All his suffering is brought to him because he desires no suffering or killing in our world.
If one is a realist, one would accept what is as it is, see people suffer, kill each other, and it would not bother one, for what is, is what is, and one’s feelings and wishes would not change them. The old must die for the young to be born and grow.
Evil Muslim countries such as Iran and heartless capitalist countries such as the USA fight and destroy each other; that is the verdict of their evil lifestyles. Wishing that they were different is a waste of time.
People train to be in the military and wait for their leaders to give them the command to go kill each other. But they would not fight for social and economic justice. Their leaders use them to go kill other soldiers. Why should one pity the soldiers when they accepted the logic of kill or be killed? They get what they asked for.
It used to bother me contemplating wars where powerful nations destroy weak ones; I would actually feel angry at the seemingly unjust killings. But with a more realistic frame of mind, the entire world could destroy itself, and it would not bother me one bit.
The state of one’s mind, idealistic or realistic, determines how one sees the things of this world.
Therefore, let us sit back, relax, drink beer, and watch Muslims and Capitalists destroy each other and perhaps make way for a non-Muslim world, a world with attenuated capitalism, a mixed economic world where society pays for all kids’ education through university and vocational schools, and pays all people’s health insurance.
