By Evangelist (Dr.) Noyo Anthonia Kubeyinje-Edem -Hope For The Family

O woman! O mother! Death could not stop you from being the loving mother that you have always been to your dead son.
He was your son
He would forever be your son
You gave birth to him
Pregnancy and childbirth did not come easy
At the risk of losing your own life you carried your pregnancy to full term
And then came the moment to birth your child
Every push leading to the birth of your son was done with all your strength, hope and prayer to God for a safe delivery

Mother! You did it! You gave birth successfully to a handsome baby boy

The Family rejoiced! Neighbors joined to rejoice!
Then came the naming ceremony and the child was named, a name that praised God and spoke of the hope of a beautiful life ahead of your child.

The school years came.
Your son attended school,
Mother, you sacrificed your time, energy, time-everything you could afford to give your son the best opportunities in life.

Mother, you did everything for your son inspired by a hope of a bright and promising future for him.

When the moments were tough and resources scare, you held on to your hope.

Your son became a young adult that you would forever be proud of.

Mother, you never thought that a group of uncultured warfarers would one day invade your community….
Behold they did on this fateful Sunday afternoon when they attacked and killed people in your village.

Your peaceful community has been shattered by blood thirsty invaders. It was attacked by a group of men that had no business being in your community.

The reason for which they attacked your community made no sense to us, but they killed innocent members of your community
They want to take your land
These are complete strangers that have no ancestral lineage with you.
This land belongs to you, mother.
Your ancestors lived here in peace for so many generations
You are the child of your ancestors
You have no other home, than this land that your fathers gave you.

The invaders killed so many people ….
O mother! you were photographed holding your dead son in a loving embrace; tears flowing from your eyes as you tried to understand what had befallen you and your community. This mother’s son had been killed by the invaders.

The picture of this scene was shared with the world to see the ruthless act of the invaders on this community of a peace loving people who were minding their business when evil struck their community

Behold the love and strength of a mother who held on to her lifeless child
Echoing resilience, sorrow, hopelessness, faith, strength, silence and a hope for vindication which only God can provide to this mother and her community
Man has failed her, the government has failed to provide security for this community
How else would it be possible for these marauders to wander through our communities to attack our people without a reprisal from our government and the law enforcement
The mother in the photograph demands an answer and we also demand answer to our inquiry.
We want to know how it is possible for these strangers to invade Nigeria and kill her citizens at ease and nothing seems to be done to protect the citizens and the country.

Yes, we need to know!
We stand in solidarity with this mother and her community as we demand justice for the oppressed and marginalized people of our country.

Everyone deserves to enjoy the safety, peace and stability that a government provides to its citizens.
Nigeria is no exception and this community is obviously no exception
Safety is a foundation human rights of a people provided by their government
We want safe community where people can thrive and dwell at peace with one another
This is the yearning of every heart-every woman, every mother, every parent.
O mother, may the cherished memories of your son give you strength
All is never lost even in death
May God give you the comfort and strength that you and your community need now.

Amen!
