WHAT SHOULD BE THE RESPONSE OF A SPIRITUALIZED PERSON TO TRUMP’S WAR ON IRAN?
By Ozodi Osuji
It is difficult to know where to begin in apportioning blame for this war. In 1953, the USA removed the Mohammed Mossadegh government of Iran because it was oriented towards the left (it nationalized a British oil company, making profits off Iranian oil while Iranians got nothing). In 1921, the British, in cahoots with some Iranian military rebels, conducted a coup d’état and superimposed a military person, Reza Pahlavi, on the Iranians (who later made himself the shah of Iran). The West has been involved in the Persian government for an exceptionally long time.
In 1979, Iranian students stormed the US Embassy in Tehran and seized it, holding 52 embassy staff hostages for over one year. President Jimmy Carter made a half-hearted military effort to rescue the hostages, but it crashed in the Iranian desert.
Americans have not forgiven Iranians for humiliating them forty-seven years ago.
And there is the issue of religion. Islam is a political ideology employed by the Ayatollahs to control Iranians, especially to reduce Iranian women to second-class status in Iranian society.
Thus, it would seem justified for Trump to go to war with Iran. But should he have done that, or is he, as some people claim, fighting for Israel?
Is the US military now the errand boys of Jews who use America for their own good and do not care for Americans? The money the USA gives to Israel annually is enough to provide all Americans with publicly paid health care (Israel has health care for all its people, thanks to American taxpayers).
Clearly, the USA and Israel have the military power to defeat Iran, but is that the best way to deal with them? Fighting and defeating them will make them feel humiliated, and when egotists feel humiliated, they come at you with all they have and fight some more; even if you killed them, it does not matter; what matters to them is to assuage their injured pride.
America can defeat Iran on the battlefield, but will the war end with the defeat of the current Muslim clerics ruling Iran? I do not think so, I think that their vanity will be pricked and they will continue the war through other means, including terrorism. They will bring terrorism to America and Europe.
Given that the West has allowed many Muslims into the West, they are now in a position to start, as suicide bombers, exploding themselves in Western cities and dying and killing many people in the service of their Allah.
War is not the appropriate approach to getting rid of the Islamic clerics ruling Iran. I do not think that the West should go about humiliating non-Westerners, making them feel angry, and keeping the war going.
Self-defense when attacked is justified, but this Trumpian war is a war of choice. If you must choose what type of war to conduct, you had better think it through and select the best option available to you.
Iran wants nuclear weapons. Given the lunacy of the Muslim clerics ruling Iran, there is no doubt that if they have nuclear weapons, they will hold the world hostage. They will make outrageous demands, or else they will use those weapons.
One can even see them making the demand that all Europeans and Americans convert to Islam, or else they will kill them. That is how insane Muslims can be; there is no rhyme or reason in what they do.
Islam was started by a man who married a nine-year-old girl, Aisha, had eleven wives, boasted that he personally killed several thousand people, and functioned as a bandit robbing traders of their money and merchandise.
Islam was begun in Jihad, killing people, and will continue doing so if allowed; they can use nuclear weapons to hold the world hostage and demand that all people convert to Islam or else they will end the world.
Therefore, the world must not allow Iran, or any Muslim country for that matter, to have nuclear weapons. What we need to do is find a more peaceful way to convert these people to other religions; it does not matter what religion, Buddhism, Hinduism, or Christianity, will do, anything but the religion that uses violence to intimidate people into accepting it.
I think that we should have worked with the United Nations to disarm Iran and ask it to allow other religions to flourish in Iran (and the same should go for other Muslim countries), and let the people have the opportunity to select the religion of their choice, and not be considered apostate Muslims and killed.
Right from its inception in 610 AD by Mohammad, Muslims have visited the world with a lot of violence; it is a religion of violence; they used violence to take Palestine in 638 AD, Egypt in 643 AD, North Africa, Spain In 711 AD, and Southern France in 732 AD, before Charles Martel and his Franks stopped them; they used violence to take Mesopotamia, Syria, Persia, India, Central Asia, and Western China; wherever they are found today they acquired through bloody wars.
We must not approach them with sentimental eyes because they are violent murderers. We, however, do not need to dwell on their blood-soaked past; we ought to forgive it and then insist that in the present they love their neighbors. If they do not want to love, then we must take war to them and eradicate them; the world should have no place for their uncalled-for perpetual tendency to violence.
Forgive their past, and insist that they, like all of us, in the present love their neighbors. And should they insist on killing people, then we should do to them as they do to other people.
