Defending the Soul of APC
Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/591/2026 between Amb. Fubara E. Dagogo vs. APC & 3 Ors.
An originating summons has been filed in the Federal High Court seeking to void the APC National Congress for the position of National Vice Chairman, South-South, scheduled for 25/3/2026, on the grounds of his exclusion.
It is evident that some individuals want to destroy the APC because of selfishness and an inordinate ambition to perpetuate themselves in office. I am glad that Fubara has gone to court to challenge this chicanery, including the deliberate exclusion of members of the party from participating in the National Convention.
Many of those who now parade themselves as leaders of the party were not present when we sacrificed everything in 2013 to establish the APC. At that time, we were deeply dissatisfied with the PDP and believed we should create a party that would stand as an exemplary alternative. Sadly, charlatans have since infiltrated the APC and turned it upside down.
Conclusion: This legal challenge is not just about one man’s exclusion; it is about defending the integrity of the APC and restoring the vision upon which it was founded.
