Awolowo – The President Nigeria never had

1. President Shehu Shagari’s self-confessed ambition was to become a SENATOR in 1979. He was FORCED by the Fulani Establishment into the Presidential race to checkmate Alhaji Maitama Yusuf DanMasanin Kano who I think was an Hausa man. But Awolowo who was his closest rival had spent all of 40 years preparing for same position with solid credentials backed by proven record of service at the Western Region

Azikiwe and his children will always tell you that they are for MERIT but in 1979 they their sense of MERIT was to undermine Awolowo so that Shagari could win in the hope that Dr. Alex Ekwueme would dominate him as Zik thought he would dominate Tafawa Balewa in 1959. They votes massively in pattern that ensured that the man with the least credentials and who was forced into the race won. They left Awolowo who had the best credentials and had all that it took.

Awolowo: 4,916,551
Azikiwe : 2,822,523.

If it was about commitment to MERIT Azikiwe and his children should have simply stepped down for Awolowo but as it was in 1959 so they performed in 1979. They went all out to undermine Awolowo’s chances for no reason other than malice and wickedness.

They settled for a subjugated South-West and a South-East which too Vice-President, Speaker HoR and Senate President.

These were a people who returned to the country a mere 9 years after the dragged Nigeria to a needless war.

They cried victims and teamed up with their partner-in-crime to shortchange the Yoruba Southwest which carried the weight of Nigeria.

Even Ojukwu who started the war after he claimed Hausa people were killing his people returned to Nigeria to vigourosly campaign for the same Hausa-Fulani against Awolowo.

It was later in 1987 he admitted that Awolowo was the “Best President Nigeria never had.”

2. Again in 1993, Bashorun MKO Abiola was a WORLD RENOWNED ACCOUNTANT, excellent business manager, uncommon intellectual, exceedingly compassionate and generous man and wondrous polygamist who kept SEVEN (7) WIVES and God-knows how many children under one roof and there wasn’t a SINGLE MENTION of scandal in their household however small.

Bashorun MKO Abiola was in the Presidential contest against Bashir Tofa, a man who FORGOT to register as a voter for an election in which he was a candidate. He was totally unknown and at a live television debate Abiola roasted him.

The children of Zik committed their majority VOTES to Bashir Tofa. They didn’t stop there. When Bashorun MKO Abiola won the election inspite of them they went full blast and actually formed several vanguards and campaigned vigorously with the Miliary to annual that landmark election and Ojukwu called for the hanging of Abiola along the line.

That was their idea of MERIT.

3. So the same people came again in 2023 and are still out there preaching the gospel of MERIT to you. They are saying Peter Obi, a common container trader of no known executive pedigree but just a typical Ibo hustler, the one who has been indicted by his own successors-in-office in Anambra, is the same one considered better qualified in order of MERIT than Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is well known as a Fiance Professional and accomplished Governor of Lagos State.

And some block- headed people with no knowledge of history and poor cognition believed these people.

They are the ones telling you not to talk about Tribalism so you can vote Obi who is the face, body and soul of Ibo Tribalism, Bigotry, Insanity, Sadistic ambition of Domination and every other thing bad about any people.

You are telling me that it is MERIT that should elevate Obi over Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Ibos vote Obi, they are intelligent Patriots.

Yoruba man votes Obi, he is a Nationalist.

But Ibo man who votes Tinubu is a traitor and when Yoruba man votes Tinubu he is a tribalist.
