The world is an illusion

Ozodi Osuji’s Sermon for this Sunday, November 21, 2021

EGO-BODY IS AN ILLUSION THAT DO NOT EXIST BUT DESIRE AND DEFENSE OF THEM MAKES THEM SEEM TO EXIST

The ego, the individual’s conscious sense of I, and the body, what the individual calls his body, do not exist; they are illusions that seem to exist but, in fact, do not exist. The universe (which itself does not exist) produced the ego and body and bid us to desire them and defend them and in doing so make them and the universe seem to exist.

Desire and defense of what does not exist makes it seem to exist. If you stop desiring to be the separated ego self and the body that houses it, both goes out of existence for you. This is literal not figurative. You would experience your ego and body disappear and no longer are there for you to see.

The you that would remain is the formless you, a self that is part of all selves in one formless unified self, called God and his sons.

God and his sons are eternal, permanent and changeless in their formless oneness. The sons of God desired to live the opposite of God (that is union) and seem to sleep and dream the egos and the egos universes (separation).

There are infinite egos and infinite universes, all of them nonexistent; what exists is the unity of God and his sons.

GOD, SON OF GOD, CHRIST HOLY SPIRIT, EGO, LEFT MIND AND RIGHT MIND ARE ALL METAPHORS

We band around ideas like God, son of God, Christ, Holy Spirit, Ego separated self, Mind, left mind, right mind, Satan, devil and clothe them with energy that makes them seem to exist for us whereas, in fact, they are all metaphors representing something else.

We say that we think from the left mind, that is, to desire separated existence; that we think from the left mind and that to think from the right mind is to love all people; we say that to think from Christ mind and the Holy spirit is to forgive all the wrongs people did to one.

Such talk makes those terms seem real in our awareness, but they are not real. None of those terms exist as tangible entities. They are all metaphors representing something that exists that cannot be expressed in words.

What exists is consciousness; consciousness thinks in several ways; each of the ways it thinks produces a seeming world for it to experience.

If it thinks in a unified manner it is God; if it thinks as a part of the whole it is the son of God; if it loves  other seeming separated selves it is the Christ and the Holy Spirit; if it thinks that it is separated from other selves and defends the separated self it is the ego mind; if it thinks as if it is separated from other selves but loves all selves it thinks as the Christ, aka Holy Spirit mind.

The salient point is that only consciousness (which is the same as thinking) exist and we give its various thinking activities names and then reify the names as if they objectively exist and the energy, we give to them makes them seem to exist.

For example, there is no such thing as Satan or Devil but if you believe it, it will seem to exist and make you fearful; if you believe in the Holy Spirit and Christ and live lovingly, you see the effect of love in your life, harmony, peace and joy and, in fact, material abundance.

It is a wonderful dream this world of ours. We need to know that we are the dreamer. The dreamer does not change but his dreams change; the changes is what we call different epochs of human civilization.

GOD DID NOT RESCUE ME IN CHILDHOOD WHEN MY BODY WAS A COMPLETE IRRITABLE MESS; HE IS NOT GOING TO RESCUE ME NOW AS AN ADULT THAT I UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON IN MY BODY; ONLY ME CAN RESCUE ME, NOBODY ELSE CAN DO SO, NOT GOD AND NOT OTHER PEOPLE CAN RESCUE ME

FOLKS SAY THAT THEY DESIRE A RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY THAT MAKES SENSE AND IS COMPATIBLE WITH SCIENCE; THAT IS WHAT I AM HERE GIVING TO THEM BUT WOULD THEY PAY ATTENTION, IT DOES NOT MATTER, WHAT MATTERS IS FOR ME TO PERFORM MY FUNCTION

I want to go to church today, so I am going to go take shower and go to Church. I love to be in the company of Christians; I like their belief system; however, I know that what goes on in the church is metaphors and try to translate them to the truth.

The truth is that there is one God; that one God has infinite parts all of them him, anthropomorphized called sons of God.

God loves all his parts and wants us, his parts, his sons, to love all parts of God. If we love all we live in peace and harmony.

As I was about to post the above writing at Facebook, I noticed that Facebook gave me a memory from a year ago. It is exactly what I just wrote today. Coincidence? You decide.
