Social democrats should not try to be conservatives

One must always be who one is and not try to become someone else. If you try to become someone you are not you are going to fail.

Liz Truss is a people caring social democrat; thereafter, she tried to become a mean spirited conservative. She bought the conservative mantra of cutting taxes for the rich and cutting social programs for the poor as a means of stimulating a stagnant economy into growth. John Maynard Keynes (1883-1946) recommendations on how to deal with recession, depression and inflation remain the best ways to deal with those issues. See John Maynard Keynes, 1936, The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money.

She failed spectacularly in trying to out mean the mean conservatives. She had to fail to teach those of us who are social democrats never to try becoming like the heartless conservatives.

Cain asked God, am I my brother’s keeper? Humankind is yet to answer that primordial question in the affirmative, without equivocation. I answer it affirmatively.

Leave conservatives, like Marie Antoinette, to tell the starving poor to eat cake until the coming revolution in Britain and the USA sweep the heartless crowd out of history.

I do not understand why a human being likes to live in luxury while all the people around him live in poverty.

Yes, we must give the entrepreneur incentive to save money and invest it in job creation but that does not mean that we should tell them not to pay taxes and cut safety net programs for the poor. Despite the stipends the poor receive from society they still live from hand to mouth.

It is our collective obligation to give all people publicly paid education through university, give all people publicly paid health care and give those above age seventy pension and after that leave folks to fend for themselves.

It is unconscionable to see homeless people in First World Countries like Britain and the USA, but conservative public policies always add to the number of homeless people.

Liz Truss, I have no pity for you! You should not have tried to cut taxes for the rich and cut social programs for the poor; Ronald Reagan’s and Margaret Thatcher’s supply side economics did not improve their respective countries but added to homelessness in both countries.
