IF WHAT IS IN ONE’S SUBCONSCIOUS MIND ATTRACTS TO ONE WHAT HAPPENS TO ONE, WHAT IS IN MY SUBCONSCIOUS MIND THAT ATTRACTS NEGATIVE PEOPLE AND SITUATIONS TO ME?
In his book, The Power of your subconscious mind, Dr Joseph Murphy (2000) said that what one places in one’s subconscious mind determines the type of life one lives.
As a child I had loads of physical and medical issues. I probably interpreted them to mean that the physical world is persecuting me. Perhaps, I sent that information into my subconscious mind and from there it attracts to me people and things that would do terrible things to me so that I feel persecuted?
Since I also felt weak and fearful for the survival of my life, I probably put into my subconscious mind the sense of weakness and fearfulness and that attracts to me what would make me feel weak and fearful?
Since because of my medical issues I felt like I am not good enough, vis a vis the healthy children around me, I probably repressed the idea that I am not good enough into my subconscious mind and from there it attracts or puts me in situations where I would feel weak and not good enough?
It is probably true that what is in one’s subconscious mind influences one’s behaviors and how other people relate to one.
My goal is now to remove those negative materials from my subconscious mind and replace them with the feeling that, as God created me, I am perfect. Hopefully, that would attract people and situations that would make me feel perfect!
The lesson from Dr Murphy’s book is for all people to make sure that what is in their subconscious minds, aka unconscious minds, is positive and therefore enables them to have positive expectations from life. One should not allow negative material in one’s subconscious mind to be attracting negative forces to one, not if one can help it.
One can, in lieu of criticism of the book, say that Joseph Murphy exaggerated and makes it seem like only what is in one’s subconscious mind influences one’s life chances; in the real world, both forces inside and outside one determines one’s life chances; nevertheless, what is the harm in trying Dr Murphy’s recipe?
