We have selves apart from our bodily selves

All my life I have been searching for my real self. Even when I was at school or working on different projects my mind was preoccupied with trying to figure out what my real self is. This search has lasted for too long and if unchecked might last for the rest of my life. It is now time to accept what I know as the human realistic self and leave the infinite search  for a hidden real self alone (that search actually is looking for the impossible  ideal self).

What I have not known by now is not going to be known.  One has to accept what is realistic and leave the unrealistic alone.

For example, if you want to live in this world the Jesus message of forgiveness is unrealistic. If you forgive murderers they will keep murdering people; in which case you approve their murdering people. If you forgive people who murdered you and exit from this world, as Jesus did, murderers will still be in this world and keep murdering other persons.

Those who do not want to leave this world must protect themselves; that entails arresting, jailing and or killing the murderers. There is just no way that we can have human civilization and forgive criminals and allow them to kill, rape and steal. If you allow that under the misguided notion of forgiveness you end human civilization, for only chaos would reign in the world. Of course you might be world weary and say that to live on earth is no good and want to leave the earth hence allow the chaos and anarchy that would ensue when criminality is unpunished hence unchecked.

Therefore, one must leave the unrealistic teaching of Jesus alone and do only what is realistic. What is doable is for one to love one's self and love all people and try to correct evil people's behaviors and if they refuse to change put them in prisons and if that does not correct them then kill them.

That is, destroy their bodies; their souls would return to earth to try to see if they can live prosocial lives; because killing antisocial persons is not permanently erasing their souls we therefore must not hesitate in engaging in capital punishment.

Jesus was pursuing the ideal self and attendant ideal world that is unattainable in this world. I was seeking the ideal self that is not attainable in this world.

It is now time to let the Jesus idealism go and seek realistic solutions that are attainable in this world of space, time and matter.

By the way, I am not the only thinker, philosopher who has appreciated the incompatibility of the Jesus teaching of forgiveness with the realities of this world. Frederick Nietzsche, in several writings, especially in "Thus Spake Zarathustra", pointed out that Jesus was probably smoking something when he insists on forgiveness, for that cannot be done on earth and people still live on earth; only a society that wants to die off forgives evil persons. Societies that want to survive on earth must punish evil persons.

The forgiving self that Jesus was talking about exist in other worlds, such as the world of light forms, but not in our world of matter.

Jesus was conflating the realities of different dimensional worlds; and that is why no one on earth has actually ever practiced his teaching of forgiveness; people merely mouth it as a platitude but do not practice it, for it is impracticable in this world.

From direct experience I know that there is more to us than our bodies. We have different selves that are not our bodies. Those different selves live in different worlds, if you like, in different dimensions of being.

We have a self that is formless and eternal and is part of what folks call God; we also have a self in light forms (this is the selves folks see in near death experience and out of body experience and indeed in sleep-dreams).

The formless-self lives in heaven or, if you insist on contemporary terms, in the sixth dimension of being; here, all selves share one self and one mind; there is no differentiation into you and not you, subject and object, seer and seen; there is no separation, no space, time and matter; all selves share one literal self and its mind. This world clearly is not our world of separated selves and its laws are different; one should not conflate it with our world. In our world we have individuality and freedom to do as we choose; in our freedom we do harm other people and those harmed have a right to protect themselves hence cannot forgive the person who insists on harming them. Forgiveness is not realistic in our world.

There is another world; that world looks like our world except that the people and things in it are in light forms. Forgiveness is possible here for no one can harm other people. The light self was created when our self in dense matter was created; it has been around for as long as the material universe has been around.

The light self is the Holy Spirit's answer to our matter based self.  We, the sons of God, separated from God and from each other and invented the world of space, time and matter and used matter to evolve our bodies. Our bodies are perishable. The Holy Spirit, God in the temporal universe, transformed our matter based bodies into light based bodies.

The you on earth have another you in light form. The self in light form survives our physical death and lives for as long as the physical universe lives, trillions of years; it ends with the end of the physical universe. The light-formed self-approximates our real self.

The light formed self can be said to live in the fifth dimension of being. Our present universe is three dimensional (width, length and height).

The fourth dimension is time. Our real self is the formless self in heaven; if you like, in the sixth dimension of being.

If you know this reality and accept it you know that you are not only your physical body. Therefore, those who threaten to destroy your body cannot make you feel inordinate fear; they cannot intimidate you with terrorism.

If you accept your light formed self and your formless eternal self no one can terrorize you; you stand up for the truth as you know it to be.

It is now time for me to accept this truth and stop being wishy-washy just because I want to abide by science and its reductionism. Science reduces people to only their bodies hence to matter, to nothingness.

Science is part of our childish game that we are separate from God and each other, our present preoccupation with understanding matter, space and time, a game that we must engage in but while doing so not lose sight of the truth.

The truth is that people have different selves, light formed selves and, ultimately, formless selves that live forever and ever.

I must now accept and live this truth instead of denying it. If I do a teacher of God, who is a teacher of love, for God is love, is born.
