You can hear the voice of your higher self, the Holy Spirit

Written by

In eternity, aka heaven there is God and his son (we are the sons of God); God and his sons share one self and one mind; they communicate not by talking but through communing; they know what each other is thinking about and respond to it non-verbally.

God and his sons are not in forms, not in bodies; they are ideas; God is the idea of the whole and his sons are the ideas of the parts of the whole.

They are made of spiritual light; they are one wave of light. God is the entire wave of light; each of his sons is a particle in that wave of light; wave and particle are one.

God and his sons are eternal, permanent and changeless; they have no beginning and no end; there is no space and time between them; where one ends and the other begins is nowhere; they are in each other.

At a certain point, a point that has actually not occurred, the sons of God decided to separate from their father; they could not separate from God for eternity is forever united.

Unable to separate from their father, as it were, they went to sleep and in their sleep dream a world of separation, a world that is the opposite of the unified world of spirit.

In their sleep they invented space, time and matter and a replacement self, the ego separated self. They housed the ego self in human bodies and make it seem to live in the world of space and time hence separated from other selves and from God.

The ego self-concept is the concept that one is apart from God and other people; it is the human personality, the self each of us has on earth. It is a dream self and seems real for as long as one thinks that it is real but it is not real.

The ego is a substitute self that we, the dreamers, believe that we are. As long as we identify with the ego we cannot hear the voice of our real self, the son of God or hear the voice of God in our unified mind. We have forgotten our real voice.

Because we are now identified with a false self (with its ego voice), God created the Holy Spirit and placed him into our minds.

The Holy Spirit is in each of our right minds. Its voice is the voice of our real selves and the voice for God. We do not hear him but if we keep quiet and silence the voice of the ego in our left minds we shall hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Christ is a son of God who while on earth, in dream land, silences the voice of the ego and listens to his real voice, the Holy Spirit and allows the Holy Spirit, not his ego to guide him.

The Holy Spirit always tells us that we are one and, as such, should love each other and work for our common social interests and public good.

If you work for only your self-interest you are listening to your ego voice but if you serve social interest in the dream you are listening to the Holy Spirit.

You know when you are listening to the Holy Spirit by how you feel, you feel at peace and joyful whereas if you listen to the ego you are conflicted (split off from your real self) and is either neurotic or psychotic.

You can hear the voice of your real self, the Holy Spirit, when you are quiet (in meditation); when you remove all ego thinking, and have no desires and just remain mentally silent with no ego separated thoughts in your mind. This is literal; you can literally hear the voice of your real self.

Your real self is the son of God but at the moment he is sleeping so you cannot hear his direct voice; at any rate, you hear his ego voice for you have identified with the ego.

The Holy Spirit speaks for your real self while he sleeps; the Holy Spirit also speaks for God.  On earth, hearing the voice of your real self means hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit.

It is still your present ego voice but it is calm, all knowing and authoritative; it does not argue but tells you what to do in a sentence or two and that is it.

(Years ago I was contemplating divorce; I meditated on it; in deep meditation I heard a voice that said: go ahead and divorce her; that relationship has served its purpose and is over; you need to go elsewhere to continue the learning about who you are. It was short and crisp and over in a second. My mind was settled and I accepted divorce and moved on.)

The voice of the Holy Spirit, your higher self, is different from hallucinations; hallucination is of the ego; hallucination is heated and filled with fears, angers and desire to be important and famous, to be a false self (whereas the voice for your real self is calm and makes you feel peaceful, with no desire to be what you are not, ego self).

All my life, what kept me going and gave me ambition to struggle on is the desire to change me, change other people and change the world.

(Many Igbos make a great deal of  noise about been achievement orientated people; well, they really do not know what a driven life is; I was totally driven to succeed; thus, despite coming from not a rich family I made it through secondary school and had mostly A grades, got admitted by several American Universities and was in the USA three months after secondary school, having smashed GCE A level with As,  and did not quit schooling until I racked up five degrees, including a doctorate, all done before I was thirty years old; and then I became a professor; even that was not good enough for me so I quit to go search for something better to do with my life and in five years was the executive director of government mental health agencies.)

My life was intensity itself; the intense struggle to become an ideal person.

Now, I know that what I was doing was illusory; what I was trying to attain, ideal self was not going to be attained.

What I now do is keep quiet and do what my Higher Self, the Holy Spirit asks me to do and do it quietly. What he asks me to do is what I ask me to do, so it is not like somebody else is telling me something to do; he is my real self so doing what he asks me to do is actually doing what I really want to do; on the other hand, doing what my ego ideal asks me to do is doing what a stranger in me wants me to do and doing it gives me fear, anxiety and tension. The ego is not my friend (not your friend).

I must not go about figuring out ways to change me, people and social institutions and making people perfect and turning institutions and cities into Eldorado.

I am now merely doing what I believe is right, such as fighting for a mixed economy and for a socialist democracy. I do it peacefully, not fighting with anyone but merely asserting what makes sense to me. I quietly work for what makes sense to me.

I know that when I die I will live in the world of light forms. We all stop at the world of light forms; it has been called gate of heaven; it is not heaven for heaven is formless. In that world we still have forms; we see ourselves in the forms we had on earth but the forms are made of light; everything is made of light; animals, trees, everything is in light forms. It is not the world for heaven; it too is an illusion, it is our world purified with love; it is what Christians mean by New world, New Israel, New Jerusalem and new man (as depicted in Apocalypse/Revelation).

From heaven's gate we enter heaven. In heaven we disappear into God and he disappears into us; the son and his father remember their oneness and live as such eternally and in perfect peace and happiness, bliss.

PS: Not all persons, upon death,  experience the world of light forms; it is for those who loved and served human good while on earth; in fact, if you are a loving person, while still on earth occasionally you would escape from your body and have out of body experience and see the world of light forms; if you are an evil person upon death you are in limbo, in darkness and thereafter you are reborn on earth and in circumstances where you pay for your evil past, such as been born in the slums of Africa, to suffer and pay off your past negative samsara; karma is real; Africans pay a debt for selling their fellow Africans into slavery and in this life time for stealing from their people instead of serving their public good (white people have their own karmic issues to deal with but they are not Africans concern; Africans should concentrate on themselves, on doing good instead of always pointing fingers at white folks evils).
