Barack Obama came to office with the support of the overwhelming majority of black persons (over 95% of them voted for him) and white liberals. You would think that he was mindful of his base and worked his little behind off on their behalf. But before you know it he ignored them. It was as if his base did not even exist. He focused on ways to please conservatives, even appointing them to his cabinet. When Republicans asked him to jump he asked them how high he could jump. The man acted as if he were drunk and a fool.
Some of us registered our displeasure at been taken for granted and not doing anything for us even though we elected him to his office.
Folks knew that before he came to office he had no real accomplishments. He was a B student hence not particularly bright but he talked the talk and folks took chances on him hoping that perhaps he would work hard for liberal courses. But it quickly became apparent that he believed in nothing, and has no will to stand up and fight for any particular thing.
It was clear by the end of his first year that he had no political philosophy and does not say here I stand and will fight for what I believe is true. This was particularly evident during the Health Care Reform debate.
Nobody knew where he stood: single payer, to have public option? One day he appeared to support one and another day he changed his mind. He appeared all over the place and eventually a nonsensical bill was passed that actually benefited the insurance companies for it now requires all Americans to buy insurance, meaning a larger market for insurance sellers and therefore they can jerk up prices (premiums have almost doubled since the idiot health care bill was passed and no doubt will triple in the coming years).
No one knew exactly what this man accomplished in his so-called health care law. When he came to office 45 million Americans were uninsured, today over 50 million Americans are uninsured and those insured are seeing their premium going up and up.
But when you hear Obama talk you would think that he has accomplished a big deal for Americans (that health care law ought to be thrown out; it is either we have Canadian or British type single payer insurance or we do not have one).
When folks complained about his watering down whatever liberals believed in they were told that they did not know anything about making law, that the process of legislation, as Von Bismarck said, is not a pretty thing. They were told that compromises have to be made to get the other side go along. Okay. But did he have to give away the barn in the name of compromises?
How is it that Republicans can say it is either we get this or there is no deal and Obama could not say so?
And since when was Obama the only one with legislative experience to teach the rest of us about the law making process (he knew as little as was possible about law making before he became the President and had no business giving any one lectures on that subject).
The man was simply a coward; he stood for nothing; that was what was going on, not the need to bargain in making laws.
The same Bismarck who talked about the ugliness of making laws also said that you cannot make omelets without breaking eggs and managed to get the legislature to support him to unify Germany, go to war and defeat France and do other great things for his German people.
What great thing as Obama done for the American people? Has he repaired the aging higher ways and bridges or did he just talk about them but devoted no money to doing what he glibly talked about doing?
Obama abandoned his base. They complained, chaffed in silence and he ignored them. Today, they have abandoned him. No one is today enthusiastic about his reelection. Oh, many liberals would probably vote for him but no one is enthusiastic about him.
The young people that came out in droves, knocking on doors for him four years ago are now nowhere to be found. The young people contributing their nickels and dimes to him now instead go to Starbucks and buy coffee and ignore his pleas for help.
Obama is facing the money making machine of Mitt Romney and Romney is out raising him and outspending him.
Come this Fall the billionaires who support Romney will go to work independently running adverts that oppose Obama.
Obama will likely be defeated unless there is a miracle. So here is my question: what exactly is the matter with black folks? Are they all born dumb or what? Are they eternal cowards who do not stand up for something they believe and fight for it?
Conservatives will say this is what we believe, like it or not, they will fight for it. Obama did not stand up for anything he believes and did not fight for anything.
But like the narcissist he is he shamelessly comes to people he did nothing for and ask them to support him, again. Support him for what? What has he done for them? Has he reduced unemployment and are many Americans not still out of work?
A person's past behaviors, his antecedents, tells people about his future behavior. We know that Obama did not fight for anything in the past so what would make us believe that he will fight for something in the future?
We already know that he studied political science, knows diddlysquat about Economics and has no idea what to do about the ailing US economy.
The man listens to this or that Harvard economists tell him what to do and he tries it and it does not work. He is so naïve that he does not know that academics do not understand how the real world works, that he ought to listen to men in the business world who actually know how markets work, not to idle academics talking airy rubbish on economics.
Anyways, even a child can see that Obama has no clue what to do about the economy. So, why should people vote for him and not the other candidate, a man that would at least do something for his base, rich folks.
If Romney is elected, as it seems he would be, he would do what serves the interests of the rich and white folks and if you do not like it you go jump into the river and drawn yourself. And if that is the case why didn't Obama try doing what served his base's interest so that they would be enthusiastic in supporting him.
Today the man is essentially running a one man campaign with nobody out there actively supporting him; those supporting him do so in a lukewarm manner; folks know that he is a goddamned narcissist who just wants to be in office and get attention but is not motivated to do anything for people.
So my question is: what exactly is the matter with black folks? Do they inherently lack leadership skills (leadership is the ability to set goals and mobilize folks to attain those goals)? Are these people a cursed people?
One is really tired of showing sympathy for black people for every time you support them they always disappoint you.
Obama has disappointed most liberals and as far as I know few of them care that he be reelected. Obama is a sad case, a sorry figure, really; he is a man who had no ideas why he was elected to office and did not serve the interests of those who elected him. Apparently, while not working on behalf of his base he was thinking that they would always come out and vote him.
He is a pathetic figure working alone, unsupported and desperately asking people to support him to finish the job, finish what job, if one may ask?
In foreign policy he seems afraid of war. In the struggle to overthrow Khadafy and Assad the man stays behind (supposedly leading from behind...whatever happened to leading from the front as real leaders do?)
This man is not a leader. He does nothing to make people see him as a powerful leader, so as to identify with him as their role model. He is wimpy, almost begging his enemies to understand him but not using the mighty power of the United States to whip them into line.
Consider Iran. It is clear that the Christian West and Muslim Iran must fight an existential war. Existential because it is a do or die war. If Iran acquires nuclear weapons it would use it on the Christian West. Therefore, Iran must be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons at all costs. If Obama understood this reality and went to war with Iran he would be very popular with Christian Americans and Europeans.
Such a war is not going to be a mom and pop war; it will be a total war. It would mean having, at least, one million American boots on the Iranian soil.
Just imagine what recruiting a million American youths into the army would do to ease youth unemployment in America. Think about what supplying the troops' war equipment needs would do to America's manufacturing. It could actually bring the economy roaring back to life and bring unemployment down to less than five percent.
Because of that war Obama would be remembered in the annals of great presidents. But the man is afraid of war; he is afraid of doing anything heroic. He is afraid to engage in the manly art of killing your enemy at war. The best type of dying is dying at war; it is heroic death. Heroic leaders understand that men yearn to fight and if needs be die fighting, but Obama is afraid of war, what a piece of shit!
Obama makes Americans ashamed to have him in their White House. Whoever is happy with a coward as his leader, certainly not Americans?
Machiavelli said that a leader must strive to be feared and respected by the people instead of seek their love. Obama does not do what elicits fear and respect in people. Apparently, his father's absence and been raised by women makes him seek people's love.
If a leader seeks the peoples love he gets their contempt, for people want their leaders to stand tall and act boldly and not be a beggar.
Africans are a pathetic people; their so-called leaders stand up for nothing; they are generally in political office for the glory of being in office, to gratify their narcissistic desire for attention and admiration but not to do anything for the people; Obama is part of this useless African do nothing leadership style.
It was probably a mistake electing an African to lead a warrior race (the Anglo-Saxons who own America).
*Obama is becoming desperate; he hits folks for money to finance his useless reelection. Every day there are, at least, a couple pieces of mail from him in my mail box begging for money to match Romney's money raising juggernaut. I ignore his pleas. I do not plan to vote for Romney. I will probably sit out this election and vote for no one. I am sure that many liberals would do that and the predictable result is that Romney wins. So be it; we do not need a do nothing, talking parrot in the White House.
