If you want inner peace stop worrying about what other people think of you

Written by

If you do not think about what other people think of you, you would have inner calm; your mind would be peaceful.  When your mind is calm and peaceful you are more able to hear your higher self, your real self-talk to you.

There is a real you, a higher you, and a lower you, a false you. The higher you is spirit and the lower you is the ego; the ego is the self that identifies with your body and tries to adapt to the realities of this world.

The higher self is always talking to the lower self, the ego; you can hear him if you shut down the lower ego you, but as long as your ego is chattering, making noise you would not hear the voice of the higher you.

When you are worrying about what other people think of you you are in ego state; the ego does not exist and wants to exist and by thinking about what other people think of it seems to exist; if other people are thinking of your ego then it exists but if other people are not thinking about it it does not exist and if you accept that it does not exist then you hear what exists, your real self.

DESIRE TO BE LIKED IS DESIRE TO NOT BE KILLED BY OTHER PEOPLE AND IS DESIRE FOR THE EGO TO LIVE

Thinking about what other people think of you is rooted in your desire to be liked by other people; you want them to like you because you believe that if they like you that they would not harm and or kill you, they would allow you to live; that is, the thinking about what other people think of you and desire to please them so that they like you is rooted in the ego's desire to live. If you are liked by other egos they allow you to live.

The ego does not exist and despite its maneuvers to seem to exist still does not exist.

You need to accept that the ego does not exist; the self that needs other people to like it to seem to exist does not exist; the self that fears other people killing it to exist does not exist.  So, accept nonexistence of the ego and have your mind remain blank and peaceful.

WHAT YOU THINK THAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF YOU IS YOUR THOUGHTS PROJECTED TO THEM

What you think that other people think of you is really your thought, for you do not know what other people think of you and since you are not a mind reader would never know what other people think of you.

DECIDE ON WHAT YOU WANT TO DO AND GO DO IT

Just decide on what you want to do and go do it and you will succeed at it provided that you do not bother with what other people think of you; and do not do it to please other people for it is not your job to please other people or save other people; your only job is to keep quiet and hear your inner self (which some people deny and call their spirit guides, angels, Jesus and other devices they employ to avoid accepting that it is they who say what those so-called spirits told them to say).

The real self is spirit and is not the ego. Helen Schuman's real self is spirit and can write A Course in miracles. Her higher self is one with Jesus and knows what Jesus knows but she denied that part of her and called it Jesus to avoid living what it tells her to teach and live.

Women do this a lot; they deny their real selves and call their thinking spirit guides or Holy Spirit or Jesus. If they say that their spirit guides or Holy Spirit or Jesus tell them to do this or that what those told them to do is not their wishes and they can avoid doing them. But if they accept that what so-called spirit guides, ancestors and Jesus or Holy Spirit told them to do is their thoughts then they would  accept responsibility for them and either do them or not do them.

Attributing something to spirits outside one's self is giving one's self permission not to do what they told one to do.

By attributing her higher self's thoughts to Jesus in A course in miracles Helen Schucman does not have to do what the book said that people should do to find salvation: forgive, overlook the ego and world.

WE ARE MYSTERIES TO OURSELVES

We are a mystery to ourselves; other people are mysteries to us. Our bodies are animals alright but are we our bodies? Bodies are dream stuff that do not exist; the part of us that think is not our body and ego but spirit.

HAVING PURSUED EGO GOALS AND NOT GETTING THEM I STOPPED SEEKING GOALS

I pursued ego goals and did not attain them and then stopped seeking any kind of goals at all; in years I have not sought success in anything; I have not even tried to make money or have any kind of job that would use my amazing skills (ten years of top management experience, teaching experience, clinical experience etc.) for I did not know what kind of job to seek, ego jobs or Holy Spirit job.

HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR HIGHER SELF

Holy Spirit is another effort to deny ones real self by calling it Holy Spirit hence another person...the Holy Spirit is the representative of one's real self in the egos world. The Holy Spirit is ones real self and ultimately is one's real self; that real self is part of God who is one with God. The Higher self, the real self is not separated from God so when you live from your real self you are living from God.

THE QUESTION: WHAT IS MY VOCATION

What should I be doing if I am living from my spirit real self? I should be writing about the reality beyond ego and body, the spirit real self that lives in peace and joy.

My vocation is to live from my spirit real self (not ego) and show people how to live from their spirit real selves (not egos) and in so doing live in peace and joy.

YOU ARE GOD, SON OF GOD, HOLY SPIRIT AND EGO

To say that the Holy Spirit asks me to do this is to say that is what my real self wants to do. One must stop denying ownership of one's thoughts and projecting them to what one calls Holy Spirit or spirit guides or ancestors or angels or God. One is God, son of God, Holy Spirit and ego.

There is one self, God; that one self operates in all four phases, only two are real (God and son of God); ego and Holy Spirit are not real.

You know when you are speaking from the ego or the Holy Spirit/your higher self or the son of God or God.
