Addendum to the meaning of death and resurrection

ADDENDUM TO

THE MEANING OF DEATH AND RESURRECTION

Ozodi Thomas Osuji

Clearly, in our world we do see children born and grow up, age and die. We do see sick people. No one is denying what we all see with our naked eyes.

The point that needs to be added to this empirical observation is that all these things are taking place in dreams.

In our nightly dreams we see people get born, grow up and die but when we wake up in the morning we know that none of those things actually happened.

Birth and death takes place in the day dream of separation; when we wake up from day- dreams we know that none of the things we see happen on them actually happened. In reality, that is, in unified spirit, aka heaven, there is no physical birth and death; the physical universe of space, time and matter does not exist in unified spirit.

BODY, LIKE THE EGO, MUST BE DEFENDED TO SEEM REAL

Body, as we all know, must be defended and protected with food, medications, clothes and shelter to survive. Without defense body cannot exist; without defense body dies.

That which needs defense to seem to exist is not real. The real is changeless, permanent and eternal.  Only spirit is real and needs no defense to seem real.

Body is not real. If you want to understand the unreality of body then look at it from the perspective of physics and chemistry.

Our body is composed of sixty four elements; the major ones are carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphor, sulfur, and so on. Each of those is an atom with different arrangements of electrons, protons and neutrons. Those three particles are either composed of quarks...quarks were made from photons (protons and neutrons) or just photons (electrons). Ultimately, all particles were made from photons, that is, light.

Photons are particles of light. That is to say that our bodies are made from light. If you recall from your cosmology, during the Big Bang, light came from nowhere and everywhere and shattered into particles (Big Bang), and immediately recombined into quarks and electrons (and their anti-matter); quarks combined into protons and neutrons; protons and neutrons combined into nuclei and 400, 000 years later nuclei captured electrons to form atoms (hydrogen, helium, lithium).

The universe was now composed of a continuous cloud of hydrogen. Millions of years' later hydrogen separated into clumps; in each clump of hydrogen pressure and heat, in its core, led to the fusion of hydrogen to helium and stars are born.

Stars are clouds of hydrogen in whose core pressure and heat fuse hydrogen to helium.  We have gazillion of stars; stars are grouped into galaxies; on star systems are planets; in our solar system are nine planets; on one, earth, biological life evolved by combining the above sixty four elements into molecules (amino acid, protein, fats and so on); those were used to form cells.

The relevant point here is that our bodies and everything in the physical universe is made from light energy.

Please see Albert Einstein's E=Mc2 Equation. Matter is formed by light energy multiplied by the speed of light twiced.

Everything in the universe came from light and ultimately will decay back to light. Our bodies, stars, planets, elements, atoms, particles will in trillions of years decay back to light.

Physical light is the source of everything in the universe. But where did physical light come from? It came from spiritual light, aka the sons of God, who are one with God.

One's body is made from light, literally, not figuratively.  Light contains information; in fact, light is information itself!

The light in one's body contains information as to how one's body behaves (DNA is written in four acids that are made from light).

In our bodies light projected information to health and or illnesses.

Each of us has a body into which is projected information on health and or illness. Let me personalize. I was born with genetic disorders (mitochondria disorders). Those disorders made me feel pained and weak.  Feeling weak and pained I concentrated on making sure that my body survived. I became body conscious. My whole life was devoted to protecting and defending my body. Instead of living from my higher self I concentrated on defending my body and the lower self, the ego in it. I was body conscious most of the time.

Sickness is actually an attempt to make one's body seem real in one's awareness. If body is real what body houses, the ego separated self, is real. Sickness is used to affirm the ego separated self, to make the unreal seem real.

We use sickness to affirm the supposed reality of body and deny our spiritual nature.

Since body does not exist, is nothing, it follows that I was protecting nothing; I was really defending nothing (nothingness needs to be defended to seem real in one's awareness).

If body does not exist and is make-belief and must be defended to seem to exist, if you stop and accept that it does not exist you experience yourself as not body.

First, you see a you-made with light (this is true for I have seen me in light form) and, eventually, you experience yourself in formless state (what folks call heaven...I have experienced formless unity).

If you concentrate on seeing you as body you deny that you are part of unified mind, aka God, and in separation you feel sick; you then project your sickness from separation to your body and make your body sick.

In physical illness you give your body medications, food; in health you pleasure your body with sex; both pain and pleasure are attempts to make body real.

You cannot make what does not exist real. Body is nothing and does not exist. In stimulating body you are stimulating nothing, trying to stimulate what does not exist.

Whatever you do with body is nothing; you therefore did nothing with your body. Thus, it is necessary to overlook your body and what you do with your body and overlook what all people do with their bodies.

To overlook is to forgive; when you forgive, overlook body and what is done with body, you see yourself in light form and eventually experience your formless spirit self.

Your real self is unified with all other real selves in unified spirit self, aka God; you cannot separate from God although you can dream that you have done so. The physical universe is our dream of separation.

What is real in us is the spirit, the light of God in us.

Thereafter, he worked in the mental health field and was the Executive Director of two mental health agencies. He subsequently left the mental health environment with the goal of being less influenced by others perspectives, so as to be able to think for himself and synthesize Western, Asian and African perspectives on phenomena. Dr Osuji’s goal is to provide us with a unique perspective, one that is not strictly Western or African but a synthesis of both. Dr Osuji teaches, writes and consults on leadership, management, politics, psychology and religions. Dr Osuji is married and has three children; he lives at Anchorage, Alaska, USA.
