More thoughts on the human personality

Written by

The West is unable to explain the origin of the human personality. It is my job to provide people with accurate understanding of the genesis of the human personality. Freud, Adler, Jung and the other Western personality theorists did not satisfactorily explain the human self for me so I undertake to do it.

Regardless of how much love a child receives from his mother if he inherited a problematic body he is going to feel persecuted by the world and feel abandoned by the universe, by God and people. He feels that God and man does not care for him for otherwise why would he be given such a pained, crummy body? Thus, right from the moment of his birth on earth he feels persecuted by the world and feels orphaned, abandoned by the world even though his parents are there. He may soldier on, struggling to survive on his own but does not look forward to God or man saving him, for why would they give him his crummy body and then pretend to save him. In struggling to survive he may develop the need to please those around him for he feels that left alone they would not protect him so he needs to please them for them to protect him.

Due to his inherited medical issues that caused him loads of physical problems, my father felt persecuted and abandoned by the world and struggled on to survive on his own.  I personally also felt persecuted by the physical universe because I inherited the type of problematic body that father has. In fact, my brothers who have the same problematic bodies also feel persecuted and orphaned and developed their personalities in response to this underlying feeling of not been protected and cared for by the universe.

I developed an angry, defiant attitude to people; I am angry at the world for causing me pain and as a result did not give a damn what other people said about me. In childhood, you dared not ask me to do anything; if you did I would ask you who the hell you think that you are?  Did you reduce my pain for me? You mean nothing to me!

Some of my brothers responded to their problematic bodies with seeking other people to rescue them; one behaves like an orphan and expects those around him, including me, to rescue him. Of course I cannot rescue him; instead, I ask him to develop independence and rescue his self for no other human being can rescue him. I have absolute independence and do not expect any human being to help me; I have never done so and, as such, other people are really superfluous to me!

My metaphysics assume that each of us chose his body, parents and social experiences; our lives are our dreams. So, I accept that I chose my crummy body to feel the way I feel: persecuted and defiant.

If I chose it I can choose differently; thus, I choose to not feel persecuted and abandoned by the world and God; I choose not to see me as an orphan; I simply keep quiet and not blame anyone for anything in my life; if I chose whatever people and the universe do to me why should I blame them for doing it?.

In perception you see other people with your lenses; you see other people with whatever presuppositions and preconceptions are in your mind. You therefore do not see other people as they are but as your mind colors your perception. So, what are people and things like if you were to see them as they are but not as influenced by your mind?

Because your perception is colored by what is in your mind you are really not seeing or relating to people as they are but as your mind made them out to be; you are relating to your projections when you think that you are relating to other people. Perception is projection, Helen Schucman said in A course in miracles.

If other people and things are in your mind, and your mind project them out in your dream called your daily life then you are responding to your projections. If you projected things out and denied that you projected them out you are merely deceiving yourself.  You are responding to your projections as if they are in fact outside you.

You respond to your projections as if they are independent of you when in fact you are responding to yourself when you think that you are responding to other people.

What you see other people do to you, you did to you for you projected them out and made them do what they did.

Other people projected you out and respond to you as they do.

There is only one self; a self with infinite selves in it; each of the infinite selves wishes to experience separation and projects out the rest of his infinite selves and relate to them as if they are outside him. The world is our individual and collective dream.

The separated ego self cannot predict what is going to happen in its future; it may study its past and have an idea of how things in the past worked out and use those to prepare for future responses but it cannot predict what is going to happen to it in the future.

In the physical sciences, we can study how matter, space and time works and predict things like weather, even earthquakes but science cannot predict human behavior or what other people will do to one in the future.

People have free will; they can choose, at any moment, to do something and you cannot predict what it is that they are going to do.  So, give up whatever illusion you may have that you can predict people's future behaviors, you cannot.

The desire to predict the future is rooted in uncertainty and insecurity; if you could predict what other people would do to you, you prepare to checkmate them hence protect yourself. Alas, you cannot predict what people in the future would do so you have to live with uncertainty and ambiguity; such is life.

It is said that a higher part of us, the Holy Spirit knows the past, present and future and can predict the future for one; that if one keeps quiet and ask it that it would tell one what would happen in the future.

Psychics pretend ability to predict the future. They always fail. Helen Schucman predicted what she believed would happen in the future and none of them came to be.

Women generally believe in what they call intuition; they say that they think from their right minds whereas men think from the left, rational, intellectual mind. Because they claim to be in touch with their intuitive part, the supposed spiritual part of their minds, women generally claim ability to know what is going to happen in the future. Indeed, many of them say that they have spirit guides who tell them what is going to happen to them and those around them in the future. In my experience women are no more able to predict the future than men.

I simply accept that no human being can predict the future and leave it at that.
